Last year saw several ABC dramas cancelled or ending, and the only unqualified hit to premiere was The Good Doctor. This year, and seemingly taking their cue from NBC‘s This Is Us, the Alphabet Network has introduced the A Million Little Things TV series. Does this big, ensemble serial have what it takes to keep the fans too busy with the Kleenex to reach for the remote? Will A Million Little Things be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An ABC friendship drama, A Million Little Things stars David Giuntoli, Ron Livingston, Romany Malco, Allison Miller, Christina Marie Moses, Christina Ochoa, Grace Park, James Roday, Stephanie Szostak, Lizzy Greene, Tristan Byon, and Chance Hurstfield. Rife with secrets and a touch of mystery, the Boston-set series centers on a group of friends who first met in an unusual way, whose world is rocked when they lose one of their own in the last way they’d thought possible. As they deal with their grief and guilt, they also start to wake up to the fact that despite their struggles, they must make the most of the lives they have.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/1 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the A Million Little Things TV series on ABC? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
*2/5/19 update: ABC has renewed the A Million Little Things for a second season for the 2019-so broadcast season.
I don’t know who the writers are for the show “A Million Little Things”, but they are awesome. Always ends with me crying…. Cant wait for Season 2.
I love this show so much! As a mental health nurse, I love watching this with patients. It’s a great show to reflect how suicide impacts loved ones. Please stay on, for me and my patients. We love it!
I hate how these networks create new shows and then drop the audience off a cliff with a cancellation. They should at the least provide some kind of closure.
Love this show.
Love this show!! Hope there will be a second season!
Love this show, getting better every week. Please give us season 2!
I agree totally!!! I can hardly wait from week to week to see this show. Even have my husband loving this show and he doesn’t even usually watch a show like this. Great actors, great acting!!

I absolutely LOVE A Million Little Things! I’ve been a fan of This Is Us…..but like this show even more! There is so much humor mixed in with the drama, sadness and mystery. The characters are wonderful. Everyone of my girlfriends watches it and we all agree…..it’s our favorite show!
I love this show, very authentic and real. Has quickly become my favorite!
This is by far the best show on TV. ABC needs to do a better job marketing it. Networks must produce quality scripted material. Stop with the cheap reality overload. Otherwise we will watch more original content on Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. A Million Little things must be renewed.
Yes it MUST be! It’s a fabulous show!!!!!
