Eileen is looking for more than just redemption in the first season of the Alaska Daily TV show on ABC. As we all know, Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Alaska Daily is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Alaska Daily here. *Status Update Below.
An ABC drama series, the Alaska Daily TV show stars Hilary Swank, Jeff Perry, Matt Malloy, Meredith Holzman, Grace Dove, Pablo Castelblanco, Ami Park, and Craig Frank. Eileen Fitzgerald (Swank) is an award-winning investigative journalist and high-powered newspaper reporter in New York. Her reporting methods and abrasive personality are called into question after a high-profile story blows up in her face, and Eileen loses her job. Her former mentor, Stanley Cornik (Perry), approaches her about making a big move, and she goes to work for a struggling downsized Anchorage newspaper, the Daily Alaskan. Grudgingly, Eileen teams up with a young local reporter named Roz Friendly (Dove). Together, they begin investigating the murders of a group of indigenous women. In a new locale, across the country, and in a very different world, Eileen is on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.

Great series. I was looking forward to each episode and look forward to the second season that will hopefully be renewed soon. A well written show that addresses the missing indigenous women issue in Alaska.

Glad Eileen did not go back to NY, Alaska needs people like her and Roz, and the rest of the staff.
Enjoyed each episode. Well-written, definitely interesting characters, outstanding use of indigenous Alaskans! Story and message of newsprint needing to accurately, truthfully, and doggedly report news is very important in this day. Story of political influence and big business influence that negatively impacts underrepresented citizens was well done.
Definitely Renew the show.
Best show on TV very well written and intelligent
I am truly amazed and impressed by this show! I rarely watch network TV, but find myself checking for the broadcast time on my cable TV guide grid. The show is well-written and -acted. It is for adults who want some brain stimulation and actual drama — not just mindless “reality” shows, sitcoms, medical, lawyer or cop shows. I hope ABC renews “Alaska Daily” for a 2d season. Nielsen ratings and advertising revenue seem to rule traditional network TV programming decisions. This show is so well written, acted, and tells such great stories of the continuing problem of these missing indigenous women. We need to hear more stories! Renew for sure and keep the same talented actors !

Keep Alaska Daily!!!! The acting, casting, plot lines, and authentic details set it apart from all the commercial crap out there now.
I think Alaska Daily is the best new show on the air right now. My best friend who lives in another state and I watch this show and then we talk about it after we have seen the episode. I missed the first few episodes but at her urging began watching. I love the storylines and the acting. This show is superb and it’s refreshing to watch something a little different for a change. I highly recommend it.
My wife and I love this show. Alaska Daily has heart, drama, beautiful scenery, and real people. Not everyone needs a car chase or gun fight to enjoy a story.

I want more of Alaska Daily! From the beginning of the series I was intrigued. Hillary Swank is the best of the best. Her fellow actors, many I’ve never heard of, were top notch. I looked forward to the weekly program, the story line, the vibe of the story line place & time, and the amazing acting. This is the kind of programming that needs to continue! Alaska Daily is a “10+” in my book! Keep it coming! Another season, please!
Alaska Daily is a GREAT show with a superb cast that is enlightening the public to a very serious and ongoing issue. It should be renewed.
