What’s This TV Show About?
A CBC and Netflix period drama, inspired by Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables book series, Anne with an E stars Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Corrine Koslo, Dalila Bela, Aymeric Jett Montaz, Lucas Zumann, and Kyla Matthews. The story follows Anne Shirley (McNulty), an intelligent and fanciful Canadian orphan, who is fostered on Prince Edward Island, by siblings Marilla (James) and Matthew (Thomson) Cuthbert. The second season introduces new characters, Dalmar Abuzeid (Sebastian Lacroix) and Cory Grüter-Andrew (Cole MacKenzie), created for the coming-of-age series.
Anne with an E has been renewed for a third season which will debut January 3, 2020. That will end the series. Stay tuned for further updates.

Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Anne with an E for season three. To some extent, the show’s fate depends on its reception in Canada, where it airs on CBC. Since season two doesn’t premiere there until September 23, 2018, the global audience may have a bit of a wait for a cancellation or renewal decision. I love what they’ve done with Anne. As the cast gets older they can do so much more as the younger ones grow up and go to college etc. I can’t wait for season three.
Literally my favorite show. Can’t wait for season 3! Sadly I think I have to wait until next summer. Anne with an E is so incredibly awesome and amazing! Oh and season 2 had the perfect ending!!!!!
This show repeatedly makes me cry and laugh. I’m so smitten with this serie and love what they’ve done with the old classic. I simply loved the hook, which my old Danish teacher wanted me to read, because me and Ann was very much alike. It confored me at a time where I needed comfort and to learn that I was okay even though I was a little different. It’s one of the many books I’ve read back in the days, which influenced me the most. Anne with an “E” is an amazing show! I would very much love to see another season of Anne’s life. The show for me is a great inspiration and an eye opener to how things were before, speaking from the pacific islands, i never knew how past issues really were; that what we all have today was never even a possibility for them. I just finished watching the entire season 2. I was not disappointed. There is so much more to tell. I hope Netflix renews the series.

Anne with an E should definitely be renewed for season 3. I have always been a fan of the books and the 1980s movies with Megan Follows, but I also have an open mind and I absolutely love what they have done with the new show. It shows more in depth and new interesting stories. I watched the entire season 2 in one night and loved it even more than season 1. I hope it keeps going. Anne and her world are a treasure to share.
Anne with an e should be renewed. It isn’t flawless, but it has enough magic to stay. This is what kids should be watching.
