It looks like the vacation is over. Recently, Jeff Dye confirmed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never after two seasons.
The reality show follows Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel the world with both help and misdirection from tech-savvy comedian Jeff Dye.
On Twitter, Dye revealed NBC has decided not to renew Better Late Than Never. The series wrapped its second season in February with an average rating of .91 in the 18-49 demo and 4.819 million viewers. That’s a nearly 40% drop in ratings from season one.

What do you think? Have you seen Better Late Than Never? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
Sucks, loved the show. Hopefully someone deserving will pick it up! So disappointed!!!!!!!!!
Someone please pick this show up ….. we LOVED it! ABC, FOX,CBS??? please !!!!!
I love this show. These gentlemen are a fine example of what true love and friendship can accomplish. Please someone pick up this show. Gotta have my “know-a-lotta” Bill and sensitive Henry. Terry and George are so great and make this quarter of besties such a treat to watch. And Jeff… ah Jeff… we need I too
Lets Boycott NBC…they don’t know how to keep a great show going.
NO!!!!! They can’t cancel them!! They are much more fun to watch than SOOO many other shows!! PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!!
My husband and I are so disappointed!!! We think “Better Late Than Never” was hilarious!! But, of course we’re in out 60’s and that’s probably part of the reason and the fact that we are so tired of other reality shows like “Bachelor” and “Big Brother”. Please bring back this show!! It was so refreshing to see senior citizens taking risks and going places they’ve never been–places that we would like to visit but never will. We really enjoyed how they could laugh at themselves and each other. Maybe another network could pick it up and promote it like they… Read more »
ANOTHER NETWORK NEEDS TO PICK UP THIS SHOW !!! Together..these guys were hysterical. This show was soo much fun as well as educational, learning about places I would never get to visit. I think I speak for many of us older folks in saying this show is soo much better than watching shows like “Big Brother” & appeals to those of us that grew up watching these guys. Find a good day & time slot on another network & keep it on the air for the older audience to enjoy.
I so agree. my mom and I love this show. and my daughter did as well. even though she is a teenager, she got into it
My husband and I are totally bummed, we love this show, very funny but also the personal matters are so touching. 55+ it’s great
I wonder what the ratings were for the 55+ demographic? Probably great! This was a hilarious show! I’m still holding out hope….after all, FOX picked up Last Man Standing after ABC made a big blunder cancelling that show.
Very sad that better late than never has been cancelled. I thought that season 2 was even funnier than the first one. Either was its a very funny show
Best show of it’s kind!!! Somebody please bring it back. These guys are hysterical together.
My husband and I LOVE this show! It is one of the funniest shows on TV. The chemistry between the guys is wonderful. While we are not within your demographic, (58 and 64) we enjoy good quality shows. Most of the stuff on TV is brainless, no plot, too violent, poor acting, or not funny at all. We get really discouraged when shows we enjoy are cut and the crap remains on TV. This show was not advertised or given a chance. Please bring it back.
We love this show!!! Don’t cancel it, please!
We absolutely LOVED Better Late Than Never. No other comedy show made us laugh as hard. I agree that it was NOT promoted at all but we told all our friends and they agreed it was hilarious. The chemistry of those guys was priceless. Bring it back!
This is horrible to cancel a funny show. Iam 59 yearsold I loved it
