How much longer does The Big Bang Theory have? Recently, star Johnny Galecki discussed the future of the CBS TV show, Variety reports.
The popular sitcom is currently in its 11th season and in addition to Galecki stars Jim Parsons, Mayim Bialik, Simon Helberg, Melissa Rauch, Kunal Nayyar, and Kaley Cuoco.
At the TCA winter press tour, Galecki revealed season 12 might be the end for The Big Bang Theory:
The only way we’ve discussed wrapping the show is we’re all going to be very sad when that day comes. I think at this point everyone is very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.”
CBS has already renewed the series for a 12th season, but should it be the last? What do you think?
There are a few shows that gone longer than 12 seasons, but if the actors feel it’s time to wrap it up, that’s okay. I just hope they don’t make them all move away and apart like Friends.
I’ve been a fan of this show for a number of years now, pretty much since it hit syndication on TBS, and then I started to watch the new episodes regularly. But it is about that time because the show just isn’t that funny anymore and the characters don’t appeal to me as they once did. First 5-6 seasons and maybe the 7th as well are still alright in my book, but season 8 and onward have not made me laugh very much at all.
Yes. If the stars themselves want the series to wrap, then there’s no point in forcing them to continue. I will miss it, of course, but it’s always better to go out on a high note than to drag out something long past its expiration date. Twelve seasons is a very good run. I’m satisfied. Let them end this wonderful show on their own terms.
