The ratings for The Blacklist TV show took another big hit last season, dropping nearly 40% in the same day demo ratings. Now that the drama series will have enough episodes for a good-sized syndication package, will this NBC series be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season? Stay tuned to find out.
The Blacklist revolves around one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader). He offers to help the authorities if rookie agent Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) is his partner. The FBI then essentially works for him as he identifies a “blacklist” of politicians, mobsters, spies and international terrorists. The other castmembers in this drama include Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, Ryan Eggold, Hisham Tawfiq, Amir Arison, and Mozhan Marno.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/19 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The third season of The Blacklist averaged a 1.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.83 million viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Please leave this awesome show on. Stupid ratings, it’s always about the money-money-money, which is sad. There aren’t a lot of things people get to enjoy these days but this is one of them. Sometimes people just have a lot going on in their lives and can’t make it for every episode. Why don’t you listen to these comments and give the people what they want… Keep it!
Renew The Black List. Love watching it. James Spader is super. I’m a senior woman who enjoys shows that make me think and cause me to look forward to the next episode. Keep this one going!
