The Blue Bloods season finale aired on CBS last night, but the Reagan family has managed to keep in touch since production on the season ended. The cast reunited for a special Dinner with the Reagans event, and fans will see another reunion on Monday.
Per Deadline, Donnie Wahlberg hosted the online event, and he was joined by Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynihan, Len Cariyou, Vanessa Ray, Anthony Terraciano, Sami Gayle, and Will Estes. The showrunner of the series, Kevin Wade, also took part.
During the event, Wade addressed the series returning next season, and if they will handle the new state of the world on-screen. He said the following:
“I don’t think you can run far away from it, it’s something I’ve been talking about with our writers, with (showrunners) Warren Leight from Law & Order: SVU and Glenn Gordon Caron from Bull and with a lot of people, just how do you go back embrace it and yet how not have it drive the show, because at the end of the day we were never sort of making a documentary of life.”
Blue Bloods has not yet been officially renewed for a new season by CBS. Check out the first part of Dinner with the Reagans here.

Love Blue Bloods and the Reagan family!!! Would love to see how the new twist … Joe’s son … is integrated into family theme. Please bring back!!!! Only downside for me … there are no African American main characters.

Love Blue Bloods. I am so hooked on the show & the Reagan family. Look forward to seeing the show every Friday night. I set an alarm to remind me that it is about to come on so to make sure I don’t miss it. I would love it if Blue Bloods run @ least 15 seasons. Please bring back Blue Bloods. A GREAT show.

Please renew Blue Bloods! This is one of the best shows running. I love the family dynamics and story lines and now an instruction to a new offspring shouldn’t be the end!
Please renew the greatest show on regular TV. We identify with so many of its characters. We love the dinner scene which emphasizes family values in such an inspiring way. The episodes have a timeliness to them and relate to contemporary public issues in a relevant way. It is our favorite program and we hope to see more seasons to come!

Yes, please let us see another season of Blue Bloods; the season finale was great.
Please, pleeeeeaaase bring Blue Bloods back for more seasons! It’s one of the few decent, really good shows on TV. Ok, it’s a “cop show” , but unlike others it’s not high speed chases and bloody killings all the time. There’s a story line in each episode, procedures and reasons for doing things in the D.A.’s office and the police work, and there is the family that ties it all together. The great characters/actors that make up that family and story lines are terrific!
Blue Bloods makes me look forward to turning on the TV Friday!
