Season four of When Calls the Heart airs its finale tonight — Sunday, April 23rd. But should there be a fifth season? What do you think? Should Hallmark Channel cancel or renew the TV series?
The historical drama follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher whose life is turned upside down when she moves to a small, coal mining town. The cast also includes Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Chelah Horsdal, Mitchell Kummen, Gracyn Shinyei, and Martin Cummins.
When Calls the Heart is a solid performer for Hallmark Channel. Ratings for season four are up from season three, with an average rating of 0.28 in the 18-49 demo and 2.41 million viewers so far. For comparison, season three averaged a .24 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.06 million viewers.
It seems like a fifth season renewal should be a slam dunk but there’s been no announcement yet. Once again, the “Hearties” are having to be patient.

This is such an uplifting series full of good values of acceptance and forgiveness, compromise and co-operation, it is would be a shame to lose it. I look forward each week. Please bring back it back for a 5th season.
Absolutely bring “When Calls the Heart” back for more seasons!! It is one of the best family shows on tv. It is wonderful to see that a show can be made without sex and filthy four letter words, and it is still a hit show!

Absolutely should be renewed! My favorite show on television…season 4 ended with no sign of Jack :,( PLEASE “Bring on” season 5 with the opening of Jack’s return…the romance between Jack and Elizabeth are what makes this show worth watching…cannot wait until season 5!!!!!!! (“Hope” there will be a season 5)
Please bring WCTH back for season 5. I love this series. With today’s crazy world, we need some clean down to earth television. I watch each episode at least 3 times each week. Never gets old. Lol.
Yes! Wonderful show especially if they bring back Jack! All characters are great but the relationship and integrity of stories is what Hope Valley is all about.
Definitely bring this show back for Season 5! It’s a well loved show, gaining in popularity. The story line and characters are loved and diligently followed. In fact, we’d all love to see the seasons last longer….add more shows to Season 5, please.
Absolutely, it should be renewed. It has a captivating plot along with great values, many of which have been lost in today’s society.
