In seasons three and four, Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart TV show rose significantly in the ratings. Can the Canadian-American TV series maintain or even further increase its viewership in the fifth season? Will When Calls the Heart be cancelled or renewed for season six, or will the story end here? A western family drama, When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner, Martin Cummins, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the Hallmark TV series centers on Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. When she is assigned to teach in a coal country classroom, her life completely changes, particularly when she meets Royal North West Mounted Policie Constable Jack Thornton (Lissing).

Note: Though Hallmark promotes season five as premiering on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 9:00pm ET/PT, the two-hour movie that airing in December 2017 has a season five production number, and Hallmark has included it as part of the fifth season on their website. It’s for these reasons that we’re listing the movie’s ratings as part of season five.
For comparisons: The fourth season of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark averaged a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.406 million viewers.

I never watched a Hallmark Channel show until I found “When Calls the Heart” on Netflix. I love the show! Because of it, I now have a Hallmark Movie streaming subscription and I am watching many more shows from the Hallmark Channel. Please renew the show. It is the best show on television. As it’s watchers increase, I believe the Hallmark Channel will increase its viewiers in general.

I recently found this show on Netflix, from the first one I was hooked. Hallmark does a lot of quality shows but this is the absolute best show I have ever seen, bar none. I love the relationship of Elizabeth and Jack but there is so much more . The characters are wonderful and through the seasons this show has become like a family, everyone on it has their own special charm. Hi I believe the viewers need to be reminded that Faith Hope Lover are forever in our human DNA placed by God. I grew with Leave it to beaver, Brady bunch, Little house in prAires , Waltons. These were what most our friends watched enjoyed. Talked about the shows, married now have children they watch these home grown programs. When calls heart does touch hearts speak to each person personally on areas that need to be touched. Please keep the good healthy programs on. Please keep this amazing show on tv as a society we need decent shows based on faith and morals such as this one. The cast is amazing with one another. This is one of my daughter’s and mine it’s a weekly event to watch together one we both want to extend to her daughter. So please keep renewing and renewing.

I love this show! I hope it goes at least 10 seasons. The writers, producers, cast and crew are all so talented to bring us such a family-friendly, on target show that reflects the best parts of life- love, faith, community, character and hope!

Love this show. I binge watched seasons 1-4 over my Christmas break. Love the morals and values depicted in this program. It is very well written and I love the actors!
Try not showing it on Christmas Week during family get together times. Ratings will rocket! Then there are those of us who have cut cable and have to watch it on other outlets. Best show on TV! Wholesome show for a change!

I recorded the show while watching it and have watched it everyday since Christmas. I have watched every episode of every season and I have all the CD’s of the show. To me it is the best show every written. Love Hallmark and When Calls the Heart show.
