There’s magic in the air on Friday nights. The CW network has renewed its Charmed TV series for a third season for the 2020-21 broadcast season.
The Charmed TV show stars Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock, Ser’Darius Blain, Ellen Tamaki, Nick Hargrove, and Rupert Evans. A reboot of the 1998 series, the show follows three sisters (Diaz, Jeffery, and Mantock) who discover they are witches in the wake of their mother’s murder. Soon, this powerful threesome must stand together to harness “The Power of Three” and protect humanity from the demons that prowl the earth. In season two, the “Charmed Ones” take over for the Elders and must decide if they are truly prepared for the responsibility.
The second season of Charmed is averaging a 0.18 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 673,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 32% and 21%, respectively.
Season two of Charmed resumes on January 17th. Season three will air as part of the 2020-21 television season and that kicks off in Fall 2020.

Not impressed with the reboot. The 1998 version is the OG. Sometimes reboots aren’t meant to be made and this is a prime example. Squeezing a third season forcefully just seems ridiculous after seeing the ratings for the second season

I watched the original as a kid I have not seen season 2 but me and my wife are very glad and excited to play catch up
I don’t watch Charmed, but I like how the article snuck “Supernatural” Series into the headline instead of just saying “Charmed” Renewed. As a Supernatural fan I was like, wait what? I thought this was the last season? Sneaky click bait…
I did the same exact thing. I don’t watch Charmed but when I read Supernatural renewed I got excited and thought maybe they decided not to cancel the show. It was sneaky click bait.

I love the old Charmed but I love this new one too! Its refreshing and has gripped me. Its made my day knowing that its been renewed for a third season! Ultimately the show has fans, but unfortunately the fans of the original Charmed have some strange vendetta and won’t stop until they see this new one cancelled. Such a Shane that people can’t grow up and move on. I love the show. They need the book of shadows and the powers they started with, otherwise season three will be the last. I would have been cool with a couple of episodes like that but, now the are getting powers that arent what the started with. And that feels wrong.
Brilliant news! It took me about half of the first season before I got in to it, I disliked it at first as it seemes rushed and very, very different from the original (of which I was a huge fan). However, when I got over the initial shock and got to know the caracters it really is something (even though I miss the dynamic between the original sisters, although that also gets better in season 2). I liked the first season much better. It’s like they took everything that was established, even the 1st season finale and dismissed it. I like the small college town. The connection to their Latina heritage. I thought it was good that they had lives outside of magic and challenged themselves to maintain that. This is all about fighting demons and magic. They’ve lost their powers and their sister bond. I stopped watching 2ntirely a few episodes ago. Very dissapointing!
I agree 100%. it was a desperate act by their own admission to completely change the show in hopes that it would boost the ratings. Truly the only reason this didn’t get the axe is because the producing studio of the show is it primary stakeholder in ownership of the CW. If they were paying another studio to produce the show for them this thing would have been cancelled for sure.
This new series of charmed is totally lame. It doesnt hold the same appeal of the original. I still watch reruns of the original.
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE I WATCHED TUE FIRST 2 EPISODES AND WAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF ITS NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL. I KNOW ITS ALL NEW AND UPDATED BUT STILL I GOT BORED WATCHING IT. I WOULD OF PREFERRED THAT THE CHILDREN THAT THEY ALL GAVE BIRTH TO WOULD OF TAKEN OVER AND WENT ON FROM THERE.

I love the new series of Charmed. I watched the first series for about two seasons and then lost interest because it was all the same. This new series breaks barriers and shows different lifestyles. Love it.

And i remember they cancelled privileged back in 2009 with a major cliffhanger… and that show averaged more than a million viewers, now none of their show even reach that… karma is a *****
It should have a different name because it DOES NOT compare to the original Charmed! I watched the new Charmed first season to give it a chance but it did not win me over! Because of that, I’ve not watched any one the second season. It was a disappointment!
