NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I liked this show, so its bound to be cancelled , Cole Hauser should be in more stuff, it moved along and got better the further along it went, the so much s**t on TV masquerading as entertainment, I’m not surprised that this didn’t make it .. it was quite good
great program will miss this alot i think the problem was advertizing there was not alot in the uk. like knight rider 1 season only that was getting good.
You know what? I’m fed up with all the stupid series and reality shows- Brazilian( no offence to the country, just saying)series in Greek TV. And that’s why i stopped watching a long time ago. And so i turned to US cable series, and since the i’ve watched good ones and bad ones. But it’s such a shame Chase was cancelled. I mean, for God’s shakes, can’t the fact that the Chase has worldwide fans prove to NBC that it was a damn good series?
I think that the networks are pure idiots. They have a program that is entertaining and fun tho watch then the cancel it for programming that I wouldn’t even let my dog watch because it is studip and boring. It actually makes me want to go to sleep for the night. and I would if I didn’t have to go to work.

Good Show, Hate to see it go. They need to get rid of some of these comedies show. good drama shows are hard to find. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
liked chase alot. taped it weekly. seems the good shows get cancelled quickly and the stupid shows go on and on.

I thought Chase was a very good show, CBS put more advertisement for Hawaii Five-O, when the show started on Monday night but I feel Chase is a much better show…I really like Annie Frost and her crew

Finally they had a good U.S. Marshal show on tv and it gets cut/put on hold. I was hoping to put the series on my Christmas list for 2011 but it is not available and now i know why. And with 5 unaired shows why are they keeping them back. Now that i have DVR I know I won’t miss an episode. NBC knows if they want more ratings they need more advertising…….JUST WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS ANOTHER GAME SHOW.! ! !

It does not surprise me that NBC dumped the show. It was a good show. Most of my viewing is on the cable channels now. The honcho’s there have enough sense to listen to the viewers, who ultimately pay their salaries by buying the products they advertise.
I agree with your comment Shara!!! Its a darn shame! Instead of putting it on hiatus or cancelling the show, why not try another night, or time slot!!!!!!!!
