A Hallmark Canadian-American drama, the Chesapeake Shores stars Meghan Ory, Jesse Metcalfe, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Kayden Magnuson, Abbie Magnuson, Greyston Holt, Carlo Marks, Jessica Sipos, Lanie McAuley, and Barbara Niven. The story centers on career woman Abby O’Brien (Ory), a divorced mother of two young daughters who leaves New York for her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, where her first love Trace (Metcalfe) lives.

Telly’s Take
Will Hallmark cancel or renew Chesapeake Shores for season five? There were only six episodes this year but the show remained a pretty good performer for the channel. Based on the numbers, I think it will be renewed but am unsure why there were so few episodes. Could this be an indication that Hallmark is going to end the show or, that it’s an expensive program to produce? I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Chesapeake Shores should be renewed. Even though I read all the books I wish they had followed the books more, I still enjoy watching.
I have this TV show saved under my favorites for a long time now with no luck of being able to see on TV. I finally broke down and got the Hallmark channel app., in order to view this show. So far I am on episode 2 of season 1 and I love it, it does not disappoint. Please renew for season 5!! After searching for 2 years on the Hallmark channel with no luck of being able to view this TV show finally broke down and got the Hallmark App. I can see why the ratings have gone down since I haven’t been able to view this on TV. I guess you have to get the hallmark app in order to view it. Great show by the way, love it so far and onlynon episode 2 of season 1. Make it more accessible to viewers and the ratings will go up!

I too just started watching Chesapeake Shores, and I absolutely LOVE it! Please don’t cancel it bring back season 5!! We need Chase and Abby back together!
I have just discovered Chesapeake shores on Netflix and instantly hooked and binge watched it all. I was so sad at the thought of Trace and Abbie moving on then that last kiss at the end made my day! Heartbroken that it was the end and I didn’t realise. Please continue the series, there is so much more for them to finally do together. I’m a hopeless romantic and love programmes like this

Although, I have one tiny suggestion. Do something different with Trace’s hair, all I can see is a grown version of Eddie Munster!
Please don’t cancel Chesapeake Shores. First you cancel Cedar Cove now Chesapeake is in limbo. The Goodwitch series is still good however gone on for more years then it should have. The original cast was wonderful but we’ve lost so many of the original cast it just doesn’t raw us in. Beyond those shows we still run over and with Golden Girls, I Love Lucy and the peats of old shows we have seen over and over and over. With viewers being restricted o their homes 24/7/365 can we not show those wonderful shows or more movies, not everyone is… Read more »
This show is one of our favorites and it really disappoints us that the seasons are so short-lived. It needs to be more of a regular series on Hallmark. Please, DO NOT take it off the air. We need more Chesapeake Shores, not less.
