Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Today, it was revealed that NBC had renewed Chicago Med for a third season.
The medical drama is set at Chicago’s new state-of-the-art trauma center and revolves around the doctors, nurses, and staff members who treat the most severe trauma cases. The cast includes Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, Torrey DeVitto, Rachel DiPillo, and Marlyne Barrett.
Chicago Med has been a steady performer for NBC over the past two seasons. Despite a drop in ratings, season two averaged a decent 1.24 in the 18-49 demo and 6.65 million viewers, making it one of the network’s most-watched series for the 2016-2017 season.
Sister series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD were also renewed today but there’s no word on Chicago Justice yet.

I like all the Chicago series, but my favorites are Med and Fire.

I watch Chicago Med all the time. It is one of the better shows. Also watch Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire. Two more great shows.
Chicago Med is #1 Fire takes close second followed by Pd. Just started watching Justice.
Med is most realistic medical show on tv. Keep it going.
