What’s This TV Show About?
On Too Close to Home, a small town woman moves to Washington DC to start a new life and join the political scene. Following a major scandal, she retreats to the community and family that she’d been hoping to leave behind. The regular TLC TV series cast includes Danielle Savre, Kelly Sullivan, Brock O’Hurn, Brad Benedict, and Brooke Anne Smith. Courtney Burrell, Azur-De, Nelson Estevez, Angela Rigsby, James Shanklin, KD Aubert, and Crystle Stewart recur. Heather Locklear returns as a guest star.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Too Close to Home averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.08 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 62% in the demo and up by 52% in viewers.
As of December 19, 2017, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC.
Could they bring it back for a third season?

Telly’s Take
The first season of Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home TV show averaged a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 713,000 viewers and yet TLC ordered a second season. Since the current season two ratings averages are way up in both measures, it seems highly unlikely TLC will cancel this scripted drama series. Too Close to Home should be renewed for a third season on TLC. Of course, if the ratings plummet, I reserve the right to change my mind.
12/19 update: Despite a sizable increase in the ratings during season two, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC, with no fanfare. Details here.

I truly hate they didn’t bring this show back. I think it was cancelled because it wasn’t promoted enough and people weren’t aware of the show.
There are other shows that should have been cancelled before this. BRING IT BACK!!’

Please bring the program back. I’m begging. This was SO good. I don’t understand how it could have been considered a cancel program.
Cringe worthy acting and so much repeating of each other’s lines that it drove me bonkers but I keep checking back in hopes of a season 3. I like a lot of the characters but the actors don’t seem to be receiving good direction.
I fell absolutely in Love with the Show “Too Close to Home” and everyone of the shows characters and cast members were phenomenal. PLEASE BRING THIS SGOW BACK FOR SEASON THREE ASAP!!! I was so into the storyline and now I’m left waiting to see what is coming next for this show. I would watch the show anytime over other programs on Any Network! PLEASE MAKE ALL OF US ” TOO CLOSE TO HOME” fans HAPPY again with a storyline about a place called “Happy, Alabama.”

Please bring back TOO CLOSE TO HOME..I NEVER MISSED A DAY OF IT AND I EVEN WATCHED IT ALL OVER AGAIN,THEN I WAS BUMMED OUT TO FIND OUT THERE WAS NO SEASON 3.PRETTY PLEASE BRING IT BACK.
My coworkers and Ithought the show was terrific. It gave us something to talk about during our breaks and throughout the day. Bring it on , TLC ! Great job!
I love this show, i am sadden of its end. Most of all, i hate when they leave us hanging in the story line
