Stephen Dorff is a familiar face to FOX viewers who watched the second season of Star. Now, he’s back on the network in the lead role of new series called Deputy. FOX has had a tough time establishing new drama series. Will this one be any different? Will Deputy be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A gritty crime drama with the flavor of a classic Western, Deputy was created by Will Beall and stars Dorff, Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses. The show follows an ensemble of ambitious and complicated people who won’t rest until justice is served. The story begins when the elected Sheriff of LA County dies and an arcane rule in the county charter suddenly thrusts the most unlikely man into the job. A true “white hat”, Bill Hollister (Dorff) is a fifth-generation lawman and is only interested in justice. His close team includes Deputy Cade Ward (Van Holt), Deputy Brianna Bishop (Taylor-Klaus), and Deputy Joseph Harris (McGhie). Hollister frequently butts heads with Doctor Paula Reyes (Martinez), chief trauma surgeon of LA County General Hospital and also, Hollister’s wife.

Do the right thing bring the show back and stop canceling shows that people watch maybe putting it on a different night….. bring it back
Perhaps rerun this good show, may find a few fans while not being distracted by there favorites. which might not be able to shoot new episodes. So there by getting a better following
Loved this show, can’t believe they are not renewing it.
A good show really like it, getting back to basics of policing not all the Desk jockeys forgetting they work for the people not just a pay check. Please bring it back, or CBS can use it to replace Hawaii 5-0 which just had retired
This is so not right. Such a good show. It’s my husband’s favorite show and he’s picky. I really like it, too. Please, don’t do it. Or, please, some other channel pick it up.
This is a GREAT show. Why do they always cancel the good ones. This was my favorite new show. So disappointed ☹️ Don’t cancel it. I hope another network picks it up.

ok this stinks awesome show but as usual CANCELLED! What I’m doing now is tape the shows if it’s cancelled no no to watch and get interested.

Please renew the Deputy. It showed true policing. It actually showed how being a police officer should be it shouldnt be about politics it about be a good officer and solving crimes no matter how small or large find out what happen find person or persons lock them up. Make the city safe sitting in an office even the head person doesnt solve pushing papers promise things and them breaking them when you get what your after a hire paying job more money its also about families . it was a great show please keep itt going season after season.… Read more »
Why would they cancel this SHOW? Their numbers are not as low as many shows that are renewed year after year, it’s a good unique show? Another case of it’s not about what we want to watch , but pleasing the select few of the who you know crowd.
The Deputy is an amazing show. It should not be canceled. A new show would never do well on Thursdays due to the established lineup..that was folly. Despite that flawed thinking, it had a great showing in Next Day Viewing…..The 8th Wonder cant be established in 1 season.
