What’s in store for the next season of Elementary? Recently, executive producer Rob Doherty spoke with TVLine about the CBS TV show’s upcoming sixth season.
The new season is slated to debut on CBS in early 2018. The cast includes Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu, Aidan Quinn, and Jon Michael Hill.
When asked about season six, TVLine’s Michael Ausiello confirmed that CBS has only ordered 13 episodes of Elementary so far. However, EP Rob Doherty says that number could change:
There’s always a chance we could [return] earlier. If we were, it stands to reason there might be additional episodes ordered. We are in ‘wait and see’ mode at the moment.” [This] could be our last season. We’re not sure yet. We want to do everything we can do to keep it from being the last season. But we’ll see where we are in a few months.”

I love Elementary! It is one of my favorite shows on television. Most of the shows I like are on CBS, but if Elementary gets cancelled, I may have to reconsider. A season premiere date might be nice as well for the 2017-2018 season.
I love Elementary! I hope it doesn’t get cancelled but the writing has went downhill to where each episode is just ‘this guy did it, let’s question him, he has an alibi. That other guy did it, alibi. Maybe it was that guy that did it, dang alibi! Well there is one other non reoccurring character around that we met for thirty seconds earlier I bet they did it. Boom case solved.”

There is so much “reality” garbage on TV today I could almost give up having a TV. I keep it because there is still a couple shows worthy of watching and Elementary is my favorite among the few. The football messing up the time slot has to be the only issue if the ratings drop any. This show is a class act!

Please, please don’t even think of cancelling “Elementary.” It is one of the best shows on television. Love the acting and writing. It’s not on at a great time, but it is always taped or watched OnDemand. Please give it a full season. We love it!!
