Based on the 1973 feature film, The Exorcist follows two very different priests. Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) is progressive, ambitious and compassionate. Meanwhile, Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) is relentless, abrasive and utterly consumed by his mission. Together, they tackle a family’s case of a horrifying demonic possession. The series also stars Kurt Egyiawan, Geena Davis, Alan Ruck, Brianne Howey, and Hannah Kasulka.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I was hesitant to watch this show because I wasn’t sure how the premise would work as an ongoing series, but I have to say that after watching the first season on Hulu I was extremely impressed. I hope that the series is renewed for another season. I like that the first season did end with a sense of closure instead of leaving the audience up in the air, while still leaving plenty of ground to explore in future seasons.
This was one of the best horror shows on tv! I love how they tied the series into the original movie. I hope they bring it back for season 2! This show needs to be renewed!

I just finished watching on Hulu and I got chills and teared up from just the last episode. Please renew for a second season, I am in love! It was very beautifully done. Change the day and your ratings will go up, a majority of your target audience is out partying on Friday nights. Thank you for this masterpiece, hope to see season 2!!!
Surprisingly great show that got better through its run. Some of the best acting I’ve seen in network tv. No winder the ratings are crap, it’s buried in Fridays.

Was the best show about exorcism . I enjoyed from minute 1 till the last minute season 2,3,4.Etc etc. If it cancelled thank you people for this great show!!!!!
One of the best shows on tv & the network is actually thinking of cancelling the show? Maybe they could put exorcist in Hell’s Kitchen time slot on Thursdays & it would boost the ratings…but what do it know, I’m just a person who enjoys watching a fantastic program & not a network executive
