Once again, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but we know the show wasn’t cancelled either. The network just kept it on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see a 59th season for the 2021-22 broadcast season? Could it possibly be cancelled mid-year? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. The current season’s cast includes Maurice Benard, Steve Burton, Marcus Coloma, William deVry, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Nancy Lee Grahn, Briana Henry, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Sydney Mikayla, Kelly Monaco, Ingo Rademacher, Wes Ramsey, Emme Rylan, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, and Laura Wright.

I love General Hospital. I have been watching it for years. It is my favorite show on television out of all channels and time slots. It is a million times better than Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful, faster paced, not staying repetitive on one thing for days, and it has as much intrigue, action and suspense as any prime time drama. I love GH also, but disagree with you regarding B&B and Y&R. They are both great to watch. I started watching them after ABC sadly cancelled OLTL and AMC. They need to leave our soaps alone they are the best escape for a few hours
I have been watching GH since the beginning in 1963(from my highchair in my Grandmothers real estate office). It has been a staple in my life as well as many of my friends and family, obviously we are in a demographic above age 49, but ,I would have to say there are many of us out there and we are buying the products advertised. Also, it is fun watch the town of Port Charles change and grow over the years maybe the younger demographic will catch on give it a chance, Thank you so much

Still love it. The only soap i watch now since OLTL & AMC got cancelled. I really thought OLTL was the BEST!

One more thing, I agree with one of the posters that all of the COVID updates or any other “breaking news” always seem to occur right in the middle GH. Please move GH’s timeslot so it will be a on an equal playing field. Whatever time you put it on, I will watch it or record it, if I have to. Thank you

Please leave GH on the air. I love this show and, frankly, it’s the only program I watch on daytime television, except for some of the news stations. When things calm down in DC, I won’t have anything at all to watch in the daytime. Now, granted I am not part of the demographic you are looking at as I am a senior citizen, but my purchasing power is equal or greater than most of those in the 18-49 age group, which should make a difference to your advertisers. I have been watching General Hospital for over 25 years and even when I travel I record and view the program on my return.
Yes, do not take GH off the air it is a great show . The problem is the time slot was moved to 2:00. Therefore every breaking news every political thing every tidbit of information about covid is breaking through GH, and it’s not being aired. If ratings are down; that’s the reason. It was always on 3:30 then it changed to 3:00 now it’s 2:00 ,However ;at 2:00 is when you have all your breaking news. We love general hospital; and would like to see it on the air for years to come. My great grandma got my mom hooked and then my mom got me hooked and I’ve been a GH fan for 40 years now. I would be totally devastated if GH were to get cancelled and I can’t imagine what it would do to my mom, GH is literally all that she has right now. Please don’t take away GH, it’s the only sense of normalcy that we have left!
I’d die if they took General Hospital off the air. I’ve been a huge fan since its beginning. I’m 74.
I WOULDN’T DIE, BUT WOULD BE TOTALLY DEVASTATED. I AM ALMOST 65 AND HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT FOR OVER 40 YEARS. WHEN GH WAS NOT BEING SHOWN DUE TO COVID 19 SHUT DOWN, I STARTED WATCHING Days of Our Lives. NOW I AM HOOKED ON BOTH SHOWS! I THINK THE ACTING AND STORIES ON GH IS SUPERB!
I TOTALLY AGREE. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT AS LONG AS YOU HAVE AND WOULD BE DEVASTATED IF IT WENT OFF THE AIR!! IT GIVES MY 41 YEAR OLD OUT OF STATE DAUGHTER AND I SOMETHING WE MUTUALLY ENJOY CONVERSING ABOUT BY EMAILING, TEXTING, AND TALKING ON THE PHONE.
