Once again, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but we know the show wasn’t cancelled either. The network just kept it on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see a 59th season for the 2021-22 broadcast season? Could it possibly be cancelled mid-year? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. The current season’s cast includes Maurice Benard, Steve Burton, Marcus Coloma, William deVry, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Nancy Lee Grahn, Briana Henry, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Sydney Mikayla, Kelly Monaco, Ingo Rademacher, Wes Ramsey, Emme Rylan, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, and Laura Wright.

The only way I can watch GH is on Dish. My AT&T is way to slow to able to steam which make me so sad. 🙁 So please keep GH it’s the only show that isn’t a reruns on Dish. I have watched this for day one. Way back in Black and white.
Yes! Keep GH on the air. Never has a show been more intriguing, empathic, heartfelt, and engaging. It is felt however if the writers split up Sonny and Carly, the ratings would surely go downhill! I have watched the show for years and the iconic actors/actresses make the show.
Try to get different writers for the soap opera?
I would like General Hospital to stay on. It is the only show I watch. I don’t like talk shows, game shows, certainly not the news and no sports. Please do not take it off the air.
I fear that due to poor, prolonged story arcs as well as low ratings and too many characters on canvas, GH is literally on life support. I have watched on and off since 1963. Lately I find myself reading recaps to decide whether to watch on Hulu. It can be saved with a major overhaul of writers.
GH has to stay on! Almost 60 years!! The ONLY daytime show ABC has that is not a ridiculous talk show or news until prime time hours. However, the writers need a history lesson on the vintage heritage of the show and need to stop turning the characters’ strongest traits upside down and backwards. The current writers have no respect for the shows history or the characters’ deepest personality traits. I have been watching GH for as long as I can remember. My mother watched it, so as a little girl I watched along with her.

Omg same here. It’s that show that brings comfort, memories and takes you to that place. I’ve watched other soaps over the years, but GH is was and will always be my go too.
Please don’t take General Hospital off the air. I’ve been watching it for 46 years. I love the show.
Keep the show o the air my. Children and I watched it daily and went back to work and Watched it whenever I was able to. I have been retired for 10 years now and watch it daily. If I don’t get up to watch it on the day then I watch it on Netflix the next day. Keep the show on please
