What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Bravo cable channel, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce stars Lisa Edelstein, Alanna Ubach, Beau Garrett, Necar Zadegan, Retta, and Paul Adelstein. Inspired by Vicki Iovine book series, the story centers on self-help guru Abby McCarthy (Edelstein). After she separated from her husband, and her career took a dive, this single mother took off in a new direction. In season four she and Barbara (Retta) decide to partner on a website called Lady Parts, which targets women their age. While they both want it to succeed, their different management styles create tension.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 392,000 viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 4% in the demo and up by 4% in viewership. Find out how Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce stacks up against other Bravo TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Although Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce scored a three season renewal (through season five) back in 2016, it really dropped off in the ratings in seasons two and three. While the show should be safe through its fifth season — which Bravo has already announced as the final installment — the season three ratings decline was sharp. Since renewals have been cancelled before, I’m keeping a close eye on this series. I hope for the sake of fans that the renewal comes to pass. Still, this hungry television vulture is watching the Nielsens in anticipation. I’ll update this page as needed with any new developments. Are there any new updates on this? Funny, I never heard of this show until Netflix promoted it a couple weeks ago, and I watched three seasons in a couple weeks. Season four is no longer streaming on the bravo app and it isn’t on Netflix, and even though they filmed season 5, it’s never aired? Is it coming? Dying to watch more!
They haven’t released a premiere date yet.
When is season 5 starting?
GGTD is an awesome show!! I can’t believe it’s being cancelled after the short season 5 finale!! Booooo! Perhaps the show should have been promoted more! While it isn’t a shoot’em uo, kill’em or horror movie, it is a great parallel to women’s lives and issues! It’s fresh, funny and real! The characters are amazing as are the women that play them! Please reconsider and give it one more push!!
I love the show and don’t want to see it end. Why is it that whenever there is a really good show it always seems to get cancelled. Keep it going don’t cancel it!
