Good Girls has some new company. According to TVLine, a new lead character is joining the NBC TV show for season three.
The comedy-drama centers on three suburban mothers who have been struggling to get by. After a series of setbacks, they hold up the local Fine & Frugal supermarket, but their take far exceeds their expectations. The cast includes Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, Matthew Lillard, and Reno Wilson.
Good Girls creator Jenna Bans teased the new character, saying:
Annie, Beth and Ruby will definitely need and seek out the expertise of a graphic designer. [The new character] might also be a suburban mom with a questionable background and has no interest in being a ‘good’ girl.”
Season three of Good Girls is expected to debut on NBC in 2020.

I do not like that Manny Montana “Rio” is killed off the show and the harshness of how he was killed! Beth has to go around killing other people, THAT IS her character now… “Once a killer, always a killer”. How can she not be? That’s why I disliked the killing. For a Liberal show, the message you sent is, “It’s OK to kill people.” Where is your humanity? I doubt I’ll be watching this show anymore, however much I liked the women actors.
I think he will be back. Either Jimmy saved him of he n Beth planned it out that way. Either way, I don’t think he’s dead.

I adore Good Girls. Never miss a show. Best mix of crime, fantasy and real life struggles. My jury is out on adding a new player, but, it could add some spice to the mix. Can’t wait!!!
Not sure about this but I’ll keep an open mind. They are such a great ensemble not sure they need anyone else. Why mess with perfection? The networks always pull this stunt and it usually backfires!
What did you think of the show killing off Rio? I did not like it. I thought maybe they would find a way to work together again. I thought their chemistry was good.
I don’t think he’s dead. We never saw him die. We saw him shot and then agent Turner told Beth to leave. I think Turner spared his life.
I’m cautiously approaching this move. I hate to see character dilution by having too many players. Will await the casting of this role before exploring further thoughts.
I love the show and can’t wait for it to return.
