TV show description:
An anthology-style comedy from Greg Garcia, The Guest Book TV show centers on the vacationers who stay in Froggy Cottage, in the small town of Mount Trace. While the house and townie characters remain the same, each episode follows new guests.
The series’ concept came from Garcia’s penchant for writing fictitious tales in rental cabins guest books, in hopes of spooking future customers.
Spirited and practical, Vivian (Jibson) owns Chubbys Bikini Bar. Business hasn’t been booming lately, so Vivian has found other, extra-legal ways to bring in some cash, including blackmailing guests and locals, alike.
Her step-son, Frank (Wilson), tends bar at Chubbys. Although Frank enjoys watching the girls dance, he really wants to find a new job, so he no longer has to do distasteful tasks for his step-mom.
Kind and gentlemanly, Wilfrid (Robinson) manages a group of local rental cottages (including Froggy Cottage), along with his wife, Emma (Wright). Wilfrid is always ready with a helping hand, for anyone in need.
Officer Kimberly Leahy (Martin) tends to be nervous and insecure. Those are not exactly the best qualities for a cop, neither is her tendency to babble. Kimberly’s marriage is not what it should be. She spends more of her time looking for her husband than solving crimes.
Separated from his wife, Dr. Andrew Brown (Dillahunt) is renting the cabin next to Froggy Cottage. He sometimes gets caught up in the excitement next door but is usually trying to figure out how to save his marriage and take care of his son.
As Vivian gets more out of line, Wilfrid, Frank, Kimberly, and Andrew all get dragged into the craziness, and it’s all in the guest book.
Series Finale:
Episode #20 — Someplace Other Than Here
Dave is in an unhappy marriage and uses his family vacation as an excuse to finally stand up to his nagging wife. But the stress of the event sends Dave on an adventure he could have never dreamed of.
First aired: December 18, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like The Guest Book TV series? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
This was a wonderful, funny show!!!!
Need more of this show it’s is so funny and well written
So sad, the series was hilarious specially the scorpian that kept showing up.
renewed for season 3, i LOVED the comedy!
Please keep it!! I love the creativity of the situations and various characters. I love that, each week, there are different characters with new situations, and that there are “stable” characters that remain in each episode throughout the series, tying it together. I look forward to seeing what the next episode will bring. I love the quirkiness of the characters, and how well they are each developed and played.
Love love love the show please don’t cancel it!
The Guest Book is by FAR one of the BEST shows to come across any network in decades. The dialogue is unpredictable and storylines fresh and endearingly funny. I have recommended to all friends and have entire series on DVR.Keep swinging for the stars w this one!
Love this show! Please give it a chance to continue. More communication of when it will be on would help a lot!
The Guest Book is one of the best and funniest comedies I’ve seen. Not only are the actors great, they give the show credibility without demeaning anyone. That’s the difference I like.
