TV show description:
An anthology-style comedy from Greg Garcia, The Guest Book TV show centers on the vacationers who stay in Froggy Cottage, in the small town of Mount Trace. While the house and townie characters remain the same, each episode follows new guests.
The series’ concept came from Garcia’s penchant for writing fictitious tales in rental cabins guest books, in hopes of spooking future customers.
Spirited and practical, Vivian (Jibson) owns Chubbys Bikini Bar. Business hasn’t been booming lately, so Vivian has found other, extra-legal ways to bring in some cash, including blackmailing guests and locals, alike.
Her step-son, Frank (Wilson), tends bar at Chubbys. Although Frank enjoys watching the girls dance, he really wants to find a new job, so he no longer has to do distasteful tasks for his step-mom.
Kind and gentlemanly, Wilfrid (Robinson) manages a group of local rental cottages (including Froggy Cottage), along with his wife, Emma (Wright). Wilfrid is always ready with a helping hand, for anyone in need.
Officer Kimberly Leahy (Martin) tends to be nervous and insecure. Those are not exactly the best qualities for a cop, neither is her tendency to babble. Kimberly’s marriage is not what it should be. She spends more of her time looking for her husband than solving crimes.
Separated from his wife, Dr. Andrew Brown (Dillahunt) is renting the cabin next to Froggy Cottage. He sometimes gets caught up in the excitement next door but is usually trying to figure out how to save his marriage and take care of his son.
As Vivian gets more out of line, Wilfrid, Frank, Kimberly, and Andrew all get dragged into the craziness, and it’s all in the guest book.
Series Finale:
Episode #20 — Someplace Other Than Here
Dave is in an unhappy marriage and uses his family vacation as an excuse to finally stand up to his nagging wife. But the stress of the event sends Dave on an adventure he could have never dreamed of.
First aired: December 18, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like The Guest Book TV series? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
I love the Guest Book, & cannot wait for the new season
I love the guest book…
Absolutely love it. Hilarious. Other than Better Late Than Never it’s the only other show my husband is willing to watch that isn’t sports related! That is an accomplishment, the man is a sports nut!!!
Hilarious….love it!
I seen the show for the first time last night (only got to see 3 episodes of trilogy) and think it’s GREAT…. Of course I liked “My Name is Earl” too, so it was easy to get caught up in the fun and antics of this great group of performers. I hope the DON’T cancel it… want to see more from them… I actually had an adventure myself with my wife at a Fly In fishing trip to Canada … On our honeymoon !!!.. Hilarious would be an understatement. Please sign “The Guest Book” For Me as LOVED.
Not a big sitcom watcher, however I absolutely LOVE this show. Think it is hilariously entertaining, with prime acting. Don’t dare cancel!
Love the guess book when will Season 2 come on
Loved it , seen em all 3or4 times. I’ll be genuinely bummed if there’s no more seasons
I Thoroughly enjoyed the guestbook. I’d like that the stories changed each week but then there was a underlying story that continued I hope they don’t cancel it !
What a fine show! Every week, by the time the mail lady sang I’d have this indelible grin on my face and tears from laughter in my eyes. EVERY show!
I love this show!! KEEPER!
My son and I love the show. We are very happy to see that it’s coming in for a second season. Thank you
I love The Guest Book! It is my favorite new show in years. Please renew it!
My husband is the one that recorded The Guest Book. I actually liked the show. It was better than I expected it would be.
This show is better than it looks yes it does look like a show that we should had left in 2004 but it more like a show we should had left in 2013. It one of those show you can see if your plane has a delay.
