New York [Dec. 12, 2018] Small town life in Laurel, Mississippi—from the bustling downtown to the idyllic tree-lined streets with beautiful old homes—inspires HGTV home renovation stars Ben and Erin Napier in season three of Home Town. The husband-wife duo use their artistic vision and genuine passion for restoration to turn worn properties into treasured showplaces for families. Home Town, which attracted more than 15 million viewers last season, premieres on Monday, Jan. 14, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
In each episode, Ben and Erin show clients two outdated houses that could receive a high-end look within their budget. Once the renovations begin, Erin incorporates each family’s story into her designs while Ben crafts one-of-a-kind pieces from reclaimed materials found in the homes.
“I think people don’t always see the beauty and magic in historic properties,” said Ben. “Erin and I want all of the houses in Laurel to shine.”
“We add the modern amenities and finishes that families want, but we promise to preserve the really good old stuff that gives the homes so much character,” continued Erin.
To kick off the season, the Napiers find a large home for a busy family of five that affords room for a private master retreat and spa-like bathroom. They add a personal touch with Ben’s custom wooden bed and Erin’s hand-thrown pottery bowl that accents the kitchen’s colorful Spanish tile. As the season progresses, the couple creatively reimagines awkward home layouts, repairs rough exteriors and saves original architectural elements. Ben and Erin aren’t deterred by challenging projects—even a home purchase and full renovation with a shocking all-in budget of less than $100,000.
Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 26, HGTV’s digital platforms—including HGTV.com, Facebook Watch, HGTV’s YouTube channel, on demand across all platforms and the HGTV app—also will spotlight Ben and Erin’s expertise and fun-loving personalities in two new digital series. In Erin’spired, Erin and her design team share a behind-the-scenes look at their interior design process for each home featured on Home Town. Talkin’ Shop features Ben and do-it-yourself expert Jason Pickens in a fun series that brings comic relief to Ben’s wood shop. The season three premiere episode of Home Town also will be available on demand across all platforms and on the HGTV app starting that day.
Throughout the season, fans can visit HGTV.com/HomeTown for more exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes videos and photo galleries, and can interact on social media using #HGTVHomeTown.
What do you think? Have you seen Home Town? Will you watch the new season?
Love this show! Can’t wait for another season.
I love Home town!!! Great couple that plays off of each others talent. Shows family support and really shows emphathy with the people they work with. So glad they improve the “not so rich” homes to make their town better for the not so wealthy. I miss them greatly when they are not on.
I love Home Town. We will be watching next season.
I love both of them. They are good down to earth people. That’s what we need. Looking foward to their new shoes.
My favourite show! I want to live in Laurel!
My favourite show!!! I always tape it while I watch, then watch again at another time.
I enjoy this show so much. Love watching the young people and seeing their ideas. They seem so nice and relatable. Please continue this series.
LOVE the Home Town shows! Really nice to see how they try to make use of things rather than throw everything away like so many of those makeover shows. Their down to earth delivery and cute family and relaxed personalities make this a pleasure to watch. I usually watch it early and then stay up late and watch the same show over again in case I missed anything! Keep them coming, please
Improve your decorating as it is too immature as well as the awful childish waster color paintings!
Why would you wear tall aqua rubber boots, which are inappropriate with a blue dress? It was not raining, and I don’t think you are doing chores at the barn.
I am from the Santa Barbara area and grew up in the L.A area. I have traveled and experienced much. I also grew up in the LA area and spent many years in the San Francisco Bay Area. I now live in Colorado. Having seen and experienced various cultures and worked in a high end magazine company, I find Erin charming, sweet and refreshing. Ben is down to earth, warm and approachable. Their decorating style may not be sophisticated, but it has charm and is in good taste for a home town feel. People love it, and they are so… Read more »
Erin’s personal style of dress and her choice of decorating and repurposing items are all such a breath of fresh air and shows she isn’t concerned with what others think. So glad most all of us enjoy, appreciate and find a sense of joy with the love both Erin and Ben put into each and every home makeover as well as in their own relationship with each other.
