What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, The Indian Detective stars Russell Peters, Mishqah Parthiephal, Christina Cole, Scott Cavalheiro, Anupam Kher, Hazma Haq, and William Shatner. The mystery comedy-drama centers on Constable Doug D’Mello (Peters), a Toronto police officer who can’t get out of his own way, in his quest to make detective. When a big case fizzles out, Doug visits his father Stanley (Kher) in Mumbai. There, he gets caught up in a murder investigation which leads him straight into the sights of a lethal criminal — one with ties back to Toronto.

Telly’s Take
Because this TV show airs on CTV in Canada, and streams on Netflix in the US, I can’t use the Nielsen ratings to predict whether they’ll cancel or renew The Indian Detective for season two. In addition, this is one of those shows that could end up as a mini-series. While I’m always up for Indian food, I don’t have a strong feeling either way about a second-season pickup. I vote for a season 2. This show was funny and full of excitement. My entire family loved it. We are looking forward for season 2.I would be very upset if netflix doesn’t renew this show.

We need a season 2. This show is a funny, but sophisticated cop show. That and we need to see more of “Stanley The Manly”
We are looking forward to the second season of The Indian Detective. The cast was great, the writing funny and entertaining. We hope to get to know the characers better. This is something new and fresh
The Indian Detective is an interesting and entertaining show. There are cultural issues explored and it is very very funny and poignant too. I would be very disappointed if Netflix did not pick this show up if the Canadian network cancels it. It is a true gem. Also in this day of extreme bigotry it is important for people to get to know people of all nationalities and this show gives a great look inside the Indian life and the life of Indians who have moved to Canada.
I may miss the beginning but cancellation is not an option. I will watch on Netflix anytime. I vote for season 2.
