Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, The Indian Detective stars Russell Peters, Mishqah Parthiephal, Christina Cole, Scott Cavalheiro, Anupam Kher, Hazma Haq, and William Shatner. The mystery comedy-drama centers on Constable Doug D’Mello (Peters), a Toronto police officer who can’t get out of his own way, in his quest to make detective. Telly’s Take
Because this TV show airs on CTV in Canada, and streams on Netflix in the US, I can’t use the Nielsen ratings to predict whether they’ll cancel or renew The Indian Detective for season two. In addition, this is one of those shows that could end up as a mini-series. While I’m always up for Indian food, I don’t have a strong feeling either way about a second-season pickup. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free alerts on The Indian Detective cancellation or renewal news.

What do you think? Were you hoping The Indian Detective TV show would be renewed for a second season? Are you sorry that Netflix cancelled this TV series instead?
No cancel the show and replace it with another reality tv show. There are so few of those on television these days.
Love this show and hope it gets renewed. It has the right blend of drama, action and comedy.
Looking forward to season 2+
Love, Love this show. Just the right combination of drama and comedy.
My a and I just watched the Indian Detective
It was awesome
I was so disappointed there was not a second, third, or more seasons
Great script.. Great acting
Fun to watch but also great story lines
Please make more…
This is the best show I’ve watched while being stuck at home. The leading characters were delightful, the cross-cultural elements interesting, and the show made me feel better about the world. It also made me laugh. Kudos. Please let’s have another season.
I just watched entire season 1 and it was really worth watching
I can’t wait for season 2. Hope it will be soon.
Absolutely worth renewing. Stumbled on this series by accident and enjoyed every episode. Netflix do the right thing and renew.
Good show. Hope they continue. 4 episodes is not enough.
Just stumbled on the series. It’s a unique drama-comedy that is better than most TV-fare and deserves continutation.
Loved the show. Everytime I find something I like I mean really like it get cancelled. I hope Indian detective comes back. A funny and delightful show to watch!
One of the better shows in recent years. Does a good job of bridging cultures between India and North America.
I love this charming and authentically funny series. It would be a shame if Netfix let it end. There are a ton of shows to watch on TV but so much of it is pure crap. Netflix should champion that which is not ****.
I hope the series will continue.
hopefully this show will be continued!!
The season 1 ending left a lot of room for more to come. It’s well worth expanding!
I really enjoyed this show and hope they make a second season!
