It’s official. Although it’s not “cancelled,” because it was just renewed, the upcoming fifth season of the Jane the Virgin TV show will be its final outing on The CW. Star Gina Rodriguez had implied the romantic comedy-drama would end with season five, but in late April, creator Jennie Snyder Urman said she could not confirm Jane the Virgin would end its acclaimed, but low-rated run next year. The CW released its Fall 2018 Schedule today, and Jane wasn’t listed, so expect the fifth and final installment to bow in the mid-season.
A CW satirical telenovela, Jane the Virgin stars Gina Rodriguez, Andrea Navedo, Yael Grobglas, Ivonne Coll, Jaime Camil, and Justin Baldoni. Although saving herself for marriage, Jane (Rodriguez) gets pregnant, thanks to accidental artificial insemination, which turns her life upside down.
At today’s Upfront presentation in New York, overall, The CW announced/confirmed that the upcoming installments of iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, will be their final seasons. While the iZombie fifth season renewal was just issued during the May 11th pre-Upfronts rush, both Jane the Virgin (season five) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (season four) were picked up for their final seasons on April 2nd, when the network renewed the bulk of its shows.

No !! Why is it the good shows always gets cancelled? I look forward every week when this show comes on. Seems like all the really good shows gets cancelled so what shows have low ratings but that’s no reason to take them away, y’all get people interested in a good show then you wanna cancel it.

I think that there should be a season 5 they way they ended with a big twist makes us think of shes going to be with rafeal or Michael I think they should make season 6 the finale which tell us how he came back and if her and Michael are going to be together or if she’s going to be with rafeal

I love Jane the Virgin. I binge watch it on Netflix. Networks have to take in consideration a lot of people out there don’t have regular television anymore.
I love Jane The Virgin and want to see it continue forward. I love how close and spiritual the ladies are and how much they help all the misguided men in their lives This is also great because it depicts a family from another country that can speak a second language. Listening to the great grandmother speak in her native language is so touching.
Make more seasons!! You can’t just leave us with five seasons!! Jane was so inspiring with her writing!! The last episode on season 4 was sooo crazy Michael is back!! (Sorry if I spelt his name wrong.) But come on, make more we all love it!!But now that Michael isn’t dead there is going to be a lot of drama!! Who’s ready for it!!

Why must they ruin what Jane and Rafael have by bringing Michael back they really need to do a season 5 and I hope he is just like a long lost brother if Michael has. Jane and Rafael deserve their happily ever after like a real telenovela!

I love Jane the virgin!!! I only watch her on Netflix.. I feel like I am with a lot of people! That is why the ratings are so low! It’s auch a good show!!!

I loved Jane the Virgin so much I’m soooooo very sad it had to go. It was the best show that I’ve ever watched and I think if you don’t continue it you should make something similar to it. It had my full heart so I did cry when I found out that it was going to end. I am so happy that the show even happened thank you for the amazing watch.
I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY’RE CANCELLING THIS SHOW! Jane the Virgin has so many attributes about it that make it one of the best TV shows I’ve ever seen. It honestly has something about it that everyone will love. It has the drama, the romance, the suspense, the heartache, the crime, the comedy, the inspiration and so many other things that make it different. I love Jane the virgin and will be really sad to see it go I’m even more happy with it now as she came so close to being with Rafael I want them to be together so disappointed that Micheal came back
Micheal is back and thats all I was able to see until it was over. They need to keep making more seasons, I am very disapointed that they might end it, especially the way the season ended. Micheal and Jane had the most purest and magnificant weird but, great relationship and I think since he is back they need to make more seasons. For the die hard fans!
I agree with you so much because since Micheal is back they need more seasons to settle their problems and things down, plus i want to see what happens next because i was sooo sad when Micheal died but now he is back and Jane is with Rafael so everything would probably be messed up so much

Sad to see it go, but it’s had its ups and downs. I believe it’s had the most award nominations for any show in CW history? I’m also not sure about shortening the season, but definitely less filler
