TV show description:
A fantasy comedy-drama from creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show centers on Kevin Finn. While he is not the world’s worst person, Kevin is self-involved, self-centered, and materialistic.
He is just starting to wake up to the fact that his obsessions with status and possessions have not brought him any happiness. At his lowest moment, Kevin is confronted with an incredible mission: it is up to him to save the world.
While wallowing in his own misery, Kevin goes back home to Texas to stay with family. A widow, Amy (Swisher) is his twin sister, and the mother of a teenaged daughter, Reese (East). Their relationship has faded with time and distance, so Kevin doubts they can repair their connection.
There, Kevin experiences a sequence of unbelievable events — not the least of which is a meteorite crashing near the family home. He then meets Yvette (Gregory), his heavenly guide. She informs him that 36 righteous souls are born into each generation. Their very existence protects the world, and he is the very last of his generation.
Humanity is on the precipice of a catastrophe. Without the 36, everyone on Earth will begin to lose the only thing keeping them going — hope. Whether or not he wants to fulfill it, Kevin’s mission is to “power up” his soul. The only way to do so is by committing selfless acts of kindness.
Should he stay on the straight and narrow, Kevin will eventually be able to locate and anoint the next generation of righteous souls. Yvette, meanwhile, will protect and guide him, train and instruct him, and most of all, brook no insolence from him.
Series Finale:
Episode #16 — The Right Thing
Kevin struggles with the idea that his relationship with Kristin might be in jeopardy while helping a stranger honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes. Yvette makes a drastic decision regarding her future with Kevin by involving a celestial colleague named Cindy (Leslie Jones guest stars); and Amy receives an unexpected visit that changes everything.
First aired: March 6, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on ABC?
EVERY time I get attached to a show they get cancelled 🙁 Please bring it back!!!
Agreed, it doesn’t pay anymore to even start watching a new series just to have them pull the rug out from under you time & time again. I give up, can’t begin to tell you how many times they’ve done that, yet keep crap shows playing. Well maybe their ratings will plummet even more as more people get fed up.
The show was great! Refreshing and fun to watch.
Please renew not cancel it.
this was one of the best shows to have come out in a long while its really sad when crap shows like big brother(a show that takes some of the worst self involved people and has them crap on each and the sorriest person wins) goes on for 20 seasons and a show that promotes self growth and the value of others gets cancelled
This was one of my favorite shows. I am very sad to see it go
I Hope the network see’s how this show and cast is loved. When you have a touching wonderful story like this it really saddens you that the network does not listen to the viewers.
Let’s flood ABC to fill in Roseanne’s spot with Kevin (probably) saves the world!
Does anyone know how to start a petition? I also rated all the episodes on this website, anyway that might help if we all do? Maybe if ABC could see this site and see how many people truly like this show. Sure hope.
I am heart broken. There is very little wholesome family entertainment on TV these days. I could watch this with my whole family. My grandparents loved it and it wasn’t something I had to feel embarrassed about watching with them. The idea that we are all here for a divine purpose is a message that needs to be out there. Please bring back this show. Advertise it differently, market it differently, get the ratings you need by using focus groups. Something, anything. Just bring this show back.
I loved the show; it was uplifting and heartfelt. Let’s start a petition…
I was saying the same thing. How do we start one, any ideas?
Thank you!
I would love to keep or start this show up again I loved it
This show was wonderful. I hope another network will save it. ABC is going down hill. They keep a terrible show like Rosanne, but get rid of this one. Humph!
Our comments apparently don’t matter much to ABC. Your decision hurt many families. I guess you folks at ABC HAVE LOST A PART OF YOUR HEARTS.
Why was it cancelled… I loved the show..
Don’t cancel this show. I’ve been looking forward to Season 2 ever since Season 1 ended. It’s very entertaining. It makes you wonder what will he encounter next.
PLEASE don’t cancel this show!!!! It is one of the best ones on television!!! The actors are awesome!!!
I am so sad. Please, please save this show. It has such a good message. Something this world needs now. So tired of all the negative shows. This made me laugh and feel good.
We love the show please don’t cancel it!!!
