TV show description:
A fantasy comedy-drama from creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show centers on Kevin Finn. While he is not the world’s worst person, Kevin is self-involved, self-centered, and materialistic.
He is just starting to wake up to the fact that his obsessions with status and possessions have not brought him any happiness. At his lowest moment, Kevin is confronted with an incredible mission: it is up to him to save the world.
While wallowing in his own misery, Kevin goes back home to Texas to stay with family. A widow, Amy (Swisher) is his twin sister, and the mother of a teenaged daughter, Reese (East). Their relationship has faded with time and distance, so Kevin doubts they can repair their connection.
There, Kevin experiences a sequence of unbelievable events — not the least of which is a meteorite crashing near the family home. He then meets Yvette (Gregory), his heavenly guide. She informs him that 36 righteous souls are born into each generation. Their very existence protects the world, and he is the very last of his generation.
Humanity is on the precipice of a catastrophe. Without the 36, everyone on Earth will begin to lose the only thing keeping them going — hope. Whether or not he wants to fulfill it, Kevin’s mission is to “power up” his soul. The only way to do so is by committing selfless acts of kindness.
Should he stay on the straight and narrow, Kevin will eventually be able to locate and anoint the next generation of righteous souls. Yvette, meanwhile, will protect and guide him, train and instruct him, and most of all, brook no insolence from him.
Series Finale:
Episode #16 — The Right Thing
Kevin struggles with the idea that his relationship with Kristin might be in jeopardy while helping a stranger honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes. Yvette makes a drastic decision regarding her future with Kevin by involving a celestial colleague named Cindy (Leslie Jones guest stars); and Amy receives an unexpected visit that changes everything.
First aired: March 6, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on ABC?
Great show. Please don’t cancel it.
LOVE this show. It’s one of 5 shows I look forward to watching each week.
Love this show! In particular, Jason Ritter does an amazing job….
Nooooooooooooooo! This is the best show to come around in years and just has to be renewed! Jason Ritter is wonderful, but the rest of the cast just meshes together to make it that much more special. And after dealing with the death just recently in such a classy manner and so true-to-life for those of us who have lost, the drama is there as well. So ABC do what is right, and give it a chance to truly flourish!
Our entire family loves the show! The cast is wonderful and Jason Ritter is just awesome! It’s positive, uplifting, funny, quirky and family friendly (please don’t change that) with a great message. The Good Doctor is our other favorite! Please keep these great shows, they have an audience and fans, give it time to catch on. These studios never give good shows a chance, it’s infuriating! Please keep KPSTW!
I love this show. It is fun and sweet. The cast is terrific and so is the writing. It is nice to see people who are doing their best to do the right thing even if it isn’t always easy.
I really enjoy this show and look forward to it.Please renew!!!!
I think the writing could be tightened up, and sometimes it doesn’t get the balance right between comedy and drama. That said, Jason Ritter is fantastic as Kevin, and has the right vulnerability and ability to do physical comedy. He and Yvette have a great chemistry together-she is also a great character and the show wouldn’t be the same without her. It’s quirky, also, and it has a spiritual theme somewhere between Touched By An Angel and Highway to Heaven. Critics who think a show has to be cynical to be funny need to go take a cold shower. Love Love Love this show. Please keep it on. This is one our whole family loves to watch, and Jason Ritter is a joy to watch!
This show is a gem. One of very, very few network shows that I consider worth my time. Jason Ritter and the supporting staff are all outstanding. Please keep this show alive and kicking.
I love this show!!!!
LOVE Kevin (probably) saves the world. FINALLY, a wholesome show this isn’t always trying to cuss or get the word “dick” or ***** in the show. Also, the show and characters are TERRIBLY FUNNY! Renew this show.
This show is wonderful, Jason and the whole cast are incredibly compatible. With all the pain and doubt in the world, this show, excitedly being an hour, is “most-likely” not “probably” saving the world, one viewer at a time, one smile at a time, one heart-felt scene at a time. I know you have brought me back to smile, and feeling this, there is room for a lot more people in the world to gain from the actors and writers, producers intelligent and outstanding work, please stay for a few years, the “World” needs “Kevin”.
Truly love this show! Wonderful cast that delivers a great message with comedy sprinkled throughout. My whole family enjoys watching this show together. One of the only ones we can all watch together. Looking forward to Season 2!
Love the show so plz keep it love jason Ritter he’s a great actor an is as funny as his Dad ❤️❤️❤️
