Here’s the kicker. Variety reports Geoff Stults has been cast in Tina Fey’s new CBS comedy pilot, The Kicker.

Stults previously starred in FOX’s cancelled sitcom, Enlisted.

From Fey, Robert Carlock, and Jack Burditt, The Kicker follows NFL player Daryl Thorkelson (Stults), “who is known more for his controversial opinions and know-it-all habits than his skill on the field.” After writing a controversial book, he finds himself suspended from the NFL and forced to fill his free time with something meaningful.
