An ABC sitcom, The Kids Are Alright stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken, and Santino Barnard. The 1970s-period comedy centers on the Clearys, an Irish-Catholic family living on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Please bring The Kids Are Alright back for season 2. It is so cleverly funny and takes me back to simpler times. Before text messaging and computers. Love the simplistic nature of the show and the fact that each character is so different. Very, very funny show!!!
OMG! I laugh all the way thru this show! so honest of the time … KEEP IT!!!!b
I love this show! PLEASE give me a 2nd season.
I grew up in the 70’s & this show is hilarious! Love that the backyard is the Brady Bunch backyard…got a kick out of the reference to the Brady’s in the “9 Birthdays” episode.
What is great about this show is the unique role/relationship that each member has in the family. It is a lot of fun, and a joy to watch their integration to life in the 1970’s.
This show is fun! Please renew,
Love, love, love this program. “Peg” is priceless!
This show is sooo cool. It reminds me of the things I went through growing up in the 60’s and 70’s. The mom really cracks me up as that’s how they really were then. They are such a great American family. Please renew !
Please renew this series. Every character is great in their unique way. Even if it doesn’t get the highest ratings, the audience it gets will be very loyal, in the ratings will grow as word gets around.
I love TKAAR SO much! Seriously, I’ve probably viewed each episode at least three times and the “Love List” no less than five. It’s just a rare, perfect “all planets aligned”production. The casting, the writing, the production/continuity – costumes, hair (although I hate the eldest son’s fake long doo.) car’s, bikes, food etc are all on point. It all brings back so many memories regardless of that fact that I wasn’t raised Catholic or do I have eight siblings. I’m a 2nd generation Afro-Cuban American woman who grew up in that era with a big extended family + friends/playmates who… Read more »
Love this show! I look forward to it every week. Please keep it going! Definitely needs a Season 2!
The mom on kids are alright is just awful. I know I’m in the minority in this opinion. But she seems just plain nasty to me. I’m glad she wasn’t my mom.
My mom wasn’t like that either, but Mrs. Cleary is still one of my favorite characters. Her lines are funny because they catch me off guard. Our mothers would not have said them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what they were thinking at times.
There was an episode where she says that she wants her kids around her rather than having them leave home or the area.
She’s got a lot on her plate with those eight kids. Keep the show going.
I think it just didn’t get the exposure needed and the title didn’t fit. It is so wonderful and our family want it to be renewed so much!!! PLEASE KEEP IT GOING
I love this show, brings back memories of my childhood. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s my family being Catholic( we had a big family) So I can relate. I look forward to this show every week.
I Love the show. I am an African American woman that grew up with 6 sisters in Atlanta, Ga. This show reminds me of growing up with my sisters. This show brings me great joy. I’m laughing and reflecting on my life. The show works for me.
I think the writers got a few things wrong in the pilot. I don’t believe that pagan babies was a term used in the 70s. It went out of fashion by the time I was in High School in 1966-69. I was shocked by the the lack of discipline within the Cleary house. I didn’t know any family that would have allowed their kids to act like hooligans the way the Clearys do. And my parents and probably every Catholic in the parish were democrats, thanks to JFK. And Dad Cleary’s father was a miner? In California?
“And Dad Cleary’s father was a miner? In California?.
Have you heard of a thing called the “Gold Rush”? Yes that happened in California and they still mine Gold there.
