What’s This TV Show About?
A History Middle Ages drama, Knightfall tells the story of the Knights Templar. Mark Hamill joins the History drama for season two, with Tom Cullen, Pádraic Delaney, Ed Stoppard, Simon Merrells, Julian Ovenden, and Jim Carter returning. Also new in the second season are Genevieve Gaunt, Tom Forbes, and Clementine Nicholson. The series explores the secret world of these warrior monks. With the downfall of the Templar Order looming, season two focuses on themes including power, redemption, revenge, betrayal, family, and an epic war between church and state.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Knightfall averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 652,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 48% and 47%, respectively. Find out how Knightfall stacks up against other History TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will Knightfall be cancelled or renewed for season three on History? The ratings are way down but this channel has so few scripted series, it’s difficult to tell what numbers they consider to be high enough for a renewal. Yes the history channel has a habit of canceling good shows like this one or the show about the seal team but will leave stupid mindless shows such as swamp people on the air
Yes, it’s frustrating to start watching a series only to find out it’s canceled on Netflix.

Just about to start watching season 2, great series. Bummer to find out there’s no season 3
I am bummed!!! So many shows get canceled when there’s no closure, after getting caught up in the previous seasons.
It ruins the entire viewing experience. I love history and love shows like this that give us an idea of what it was like during that time. You should continue it! As one fan pointed out, I’m sure it gathered a larger fan base while people have been stuck in their homes.

This would be a grave mistake to cancel this series. Many people are just now discovering programming since they have the spare time to watch.
Just finished watching season 1 of Knigjtfall and loved it!!! Got it from the library. Too bad the History Channel is only on Paid TV. That’s the problem…the TRUE public doesn’t get to see some very promising programes. Guess I’ll just have to settle for season 2. What a shame.

I wish Netflix would take over Knightfall and produce a third season. It’s such a shame to let a show of great talent and fantastic storyline go.
I just recently signed up for Netflix and nightfall was the first series that I watched. I can’t wait to see each episode and now I find out that season three is going to be canceled! This is a phenomenal TV show and I am so heartbroken! Please bring it back! It is one of the best series on TV! The ratings may be down because of the stupid COVID-19 people have bigger things to worry about at the moment I love this show!
I hadn’t really had time to watch it and when I did I was impressed great story got right into it I think promotion of show could have been better brilliant cast I thought very under rated hope season three comes
Think there should be a season 3 of knightfall.
Just in my opinion I think nightfall was one of the best series on Tv at the time And still is. Please bring it back! This is world history even if it is only partially true we need to know this. Please bring back nightfall!
