It looks like low ratings have permanently grounded the LA to Vegas TV show in cancellation land. Despite the fact that space had reportedly been reserved for season two production, FOX has cancelled their Tuesday night comedy series.
A FOX workplace comedy, LA to Vegas stars Dylan McDermott, Kim Matula, Ed Weeks, Nathan Lee Graham, Olivia Macklin, Peter Stormare, and Amir Talai. The TV series centers on a weekly Jackpot Airlines roundtrip flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The crew and frequent fliers make the regular weekend trek to Sin City, with dreams of returning a big winner.
LA to Vegas: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of LA to Vegas averaged a disappointing 0.73 rating in the 18-49 demographic and just 2.32 million viewers. It typically hovered around 15th place among the 20 scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking for the 2017-18 season.
What Happened?
Word was that FOX had been hoping that executive producer Will Ferrell would make a guest shot in the second season opener to help attract some interest. Apparently, Ferrell agreed to appear but couldn’t commit to the season opener. That may or may not have played into the cancellation decision. It surely didn’t help that, because FOX has Thursday Night Football next season, the network has fewer timeslots than usual open.

I’m disappointed. This show was always good for a few laughs.
So Fox ordered more episodes for Season 1 while it ran and now they decide to Cancel the Show. Really Who ever is in charge over there needs to really start thinking things through. This was an original show. We do not need anymore Medical Shows, Reality Shows or the like. It is almost like they do not care about their viewers and just care about the bottom line.
Really?? WTH.
What we really need is another court, medical or zombie show. (Sarcasm).
Zombie shows, and any other sci-fi / fantasy / horror shows are still a million times better than any crime, medical and legal shows.

So sad! Thought the cast was really beginning to gel… it was like a short trip to Vegas every week!
You shouldn’t have cancelled this show at all.
Because Fox decided to pull the plug. I won’t be watching any shows at all on this channel at all.

The show is original, funny, with fresh stories every week, some shows take time to build up a following and this one would given the chance.
Come on FOX! SAVE THIS SHOW!!!! Who care if Will Ferrell can’t commit? The show has a hilarious cast that is strong enough without him. Why can’t we ever keep the “just plain fun” shows? Change your decision to cancel!

I can’t believe they let the funniest scripted new show slip away. They needed to give it a second shot to develop it’s audience. This is one that another station should pick up.
Yet another short sighted decision. With the viewing public clamoring for new and fresh all the execs can do is display their low self-esteem and cling to re-hashing the past. This was a creative new idea, a funny script and a well made series. Tsk Tsk Tsk.
