Tim Allen and company have had a successful Friday night run with Last Man Standing on ABC. The sitcom has more than enough episodes for syndication so, how long will it continue? Will it be cancelled this time around, or will it be renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
On Last Man Standing, Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores. He has a wife and three daughters so it can be a little tough to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man. The rest of the cast includes Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Christoph Sanders, Hector Elizondo, Flynn Morrison, Jordan Masterson, and Jonathan Adams.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Last year comparison: The fifth season of Last Man Standing averaged a 1.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.74 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Last Man Standing TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a seventh season?
5/10 update: ABC has cancelled Last Man Standing after six seasons.
ABC: Please look down. See the hole in your foot? You put it there.
What a dumb thing to do to a show that all the family can watch. Not like most of the other crap out their. Good by ABC
Keep this show I love last man standing. If you cancel that would be stupid. To many people like and watch this show never gets old and it feels like real life and I love Tim Allen and his actin!!!!
I love this show and my 50 year old Down Syndrome son loves to watch it. It is more wholesome than alot of shows now showing.
this show covered everything and peoples different point of view. Republicans,
Democrats he even has a son-in-law that don’t believe in God. It was refreshing
not to have all Liberals jamming their point of view down my throat, like
some of your other shows, for instant, the View.
Great show, ridiculous to cancel.
ABC, you have just lost 2 more viewers of your network because of cancelling one of the best sit-coms on tv!
Finally a great show, bring back the LAST great show.
Please bring back the show. It is one of the best shows I have ever watched. It feels like real life. It is a polypartisan family that keeps you laughing and helps me take life lighter. It teaches one that family and love, along with many different opinions is the ultimate in living a well rounded life.
ABC you are canceling one of your higher rated showes? Liberal thinkers with blinders on. I hope you loss a ton of advertising, you lost me as a viewer and no more trips to Disney!!
I love Last Man Standing. However, I’m 60 so no one will care about my age group and demographic. It’s a shame, ABC has such small thinkers in charge…. (sigh)….
I love Last Man Standing. I have watched it over and over on Netflix. I don’t want it cancelled. Maybe Netflix can pick it up.
I refuse to watch tv anymore….except Last Man Standing! This show is the only show worth watching anymore. Good family viewing program. Please do not cancel!!!!
This is a great show please do not cancel .
I love this show and it should continue as there can be a difference depending if a sports show is on. But I want it to stay on.
PLEASE Keep Last Man Standing. I really love this show. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
