It’s no secret that there was some backstage drama last season on the Lethal Weapon TV show. As a result, actor Clayne Crawford was fired from the FOX series and many fans were not pleased. Lethal Weapon saw a big drop in ratings between season one and two. Will adding Seann William Scott to the cast improve the ratings in season three or, will they fall even further without Crawford? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
An action-comedy-drama, Lethal Weapon stars Damon Wayans, Seann William Scott, Kevin Rahm, Johnathan Fernandez, Michelle Mitchenor, Keesha Sharp, Dante Brown, and Chandler Kinney. The series follows Detective Roger Murtaugh (Wayans), his LAPD colleagues, and his family at home. After a tragedy, Murtaugh is partnered with Detective Wesley Cole (Scott), a former CIA operative who’s been everywhere and seen everything. How long will it take him to adjust to Los Angeles?
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/27 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The second season of Lethal Weapon averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.11 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

**10/14/2018 Status Update: FOX has ordered two more episodes of Lethal Weapon. Will Wayans be in them?
Let Wayans leave , getting someone to replace him, and bring back Crawford. Crawford was the only reason I watched the show.
I like it! Its a bit different and that is ok. Still pretty entertaining. Sean William Scott is is always fun to watch. And I love the gal that plays his ex! I hope it continues on. We will watch it.
Yes,Would like series to continue,to see how story carries out with Cole and his ex.Also enjoy all other characters,Murtaughs family as well
Bring Riggs back!!! he is the one who made the show good, or cancel the whole thing.
Not interested in watching it now. It’s not the same. In my estimation it should be canceled…. realy not worth watching anymore.
Cancel it now, stop the bleeding.
I was not interested in watching the new season. I do like the cast but you changed the dynamics. I am not interested in why he was fired. He helped make the show fun to watch. Everything is negotiable regardless of the arena it’s in. You should have tried to remedy this while it was happening. I wish you the best but you lost me as a viewer.
Just as good and we need this great show going!!!!
I Like the Cole character very much. 100 times more interesting than roger. Found myself fast forwarding past Damon wayans scenes. The other Riggs and Cole had and have more charm and karisma than Damon wayans. I watched to support those actors. The ones who care. I hope the show gets another season.
Bring Riggs back!!!
Yes please bring him back
The show as it as now should be cancelled, especially if Wayans stays. Y’all got rid of the wrong lead. Bring Riggs back!!!
The show isnt the same the acting is so forced its pathetic lethal weapon is riggs and murtaugh not murtaugh and cole. While sws character is ok its not for this show. Havent watched since premier and looking at the ratings there will not be a season 4.
I love Seann ! So much better than that ego maniac he replaced. I like his style of under statement. Lines are good story arcs are good. I hope he stays and the show continues.
Anyone can think a Lethal Weapon movie without Mel Gibson?
The show with RIGGS was amazing. The work done in the 2nd season was gripping, funny, touching and the acting was stellar. A really good respect and frustration cop relationship as in the movie. The chemistry was great and I was always pulling for the continuation. If the studio had been smart they would have left him in a coma. Or in a Texas hospital with the girlfriend near by. Because the show needs Murtaugh and Riggs. The new storyline is cold and artificial. I realize the actors had issues with each other however it played really well on the… Read more »
The show is about the movies, redone for TV. 2 guys, and their not getting along, BUT getting along… in a very amusing way also. Riggs and Murtaugh played perfectly onscreen and offscreen by these two, who got along, and didn’t get along exactly like they should FOR THE SHOW’S chemistery!! It made good TV. IT WAS the show. But, you don’t fire one, because the other is claiming foul. It’s not Abbott and Steve!. You need Costello. It’s not Moe, Larry and Bernie? You don’t fire Curly because Moe didn’t like Curly offstage??? It’s not Groucho, Harpo and Bubbles….… Read more »
