It’s no secret that there was some backstage drama last season on the Lethal Weapon TV show. As a result, actor Clayne Crawford was fired from the FOX series and many fans were not pleased. Lethal Weapon saw a big drop in ratings between season one and two. Will adding Seann William Scott to the cast improve the ratings in season three or, will they fall even further without Crawford? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
An action-comedy-drama, Lethal Weapon stars Damon Wayans, Seann William Scott, Kevin Rahm, Johnathan Fernandez, Michelle Mitchenor, Keesha Sharp, Dante Brown, and Chandler Kinney. The series follows Detective Roger Murtaugh (Wayans), his LAPD colleagues, and his family at home. After a tragedy, Murtaugh is partnered with Detective Wesley Cole (Scott), a former CIA operative who’s been everywhere and seen everything. How long will it take him to adjust to Los Angeles?
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/27 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The second season of Lethal Weapon averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.11 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Lethal Weapon TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on FOX?

Remaking movies from 1980′ with unfunny shows is mark for blunder.
Its a little funnier now
the lethal weapon season 3 is boring for me,…boz clayne crawford is the best in lethal weapon
Well, I believe the show is so much better with Seann. I can’t wait for the next episode and I also believe the writing is better without Crawford. I really like the show and hope there is a 4th season.
I don’t think the switch was wise.. In a movie setting the cast will not alway get alone however, you take one for the team… They should have kept Crawford.. They made a good team.. their personalities bounced off each other, it actually made the show funny… sad.. enjoyable to watch…when is all said and done if it works don’t break it.. season 1 and 2 worked…season 3 not a fan.. Crawford and Wayans together… they a natural funny… It’s in their DNA
2/1/2019. I absolutely dig Cole and Murtaugh. The last dude could never place Mel Gibson. But to bring in new partner he has that crazy way like Mel Gibson did. Me and about 6 other folks watch Lethal weapon now. Maybe Wayans has a brother transferred to the Dept. He still a Murtaugh. Hmm what’s some of the other wayans brothers doing. You should give this show another hard look don’t cancelled it Cole is dry humor funny like Mel Gibson
It’s not the same anymore. Crawford made the show. Surprised it’s still hanging in there. Probably the last season.
Lethal Wespon lost its’ magic for me. Too bsd the first guy made a butt of himself, if indeed he did. Cancel it!
