Telly’s Take
The fourth season premiered with much lower numbers than last year and the averages are also lower. However, The Librarians is still doing pretty well when compared to the other TNT original series. I’d usually predict another renewal, but TNT has been repositioning itself as an edgier network, and I’m not quite sure The Librarians is still a good fit. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free alerts about The Librarians cancellation or renewal news.

BRING BACK “THE LIBRARIANS”! This is a unique type of show, even within its own genre! The show is enjoyable for the youngest; all the way to the oldest. The charisma with the cast is marvelous and the interplay between them is perfectly enjoyable. This is exactly the type of show, as well as one of THE shows, the public needs to have pushed more often. Many of us know the public just go with trends. If it’s not getting enough numbers, push another show, in another genre, along with it, to acclimatize the public with such a thing. Perhaps… Read more »
I agree
Tragic the librarians show being cancelled!!
This is one of the series parents, and grandparents can watch together.
I love the librarians, don’t cancel. Please.
Please let’s have a season 5! I just binged season 4 and I’m bummed that I can’t keep going… Why do all the good shows get cancelled? I was watching on TNT on demand, via Sling TV, before, and the only reason I stopped was all the commercials, which was way beyond a reasonable amount, especially when you have limited TV time—Not to mention, most of the time the commercials were really just consecutive repeats of the SAME super-long TNT channel promotion commercial, which was really frustrating because they would break to commercial—it felt like—every five minutes you had 5… Read more »
The Librarians were an awesome show. Both the movies and the series. Ive been a fan from the very first movie. I even still watch all the shows as much as once a month. They are very informative. It makes history look so much more fun. Even inspired me to because a historian which I am now in my second year of college. My kids also love the librarians instead of them watching cartoons they want to know more about history. My son particularly loves Noah Wyle. This show has inspired him to try harder and to learn more from… Read more »

Terrible how great shows are being canceled yet trash reality shows are still on the air. Can’t anything be left on for intellectual viewers?
Will the librarian show be back in 2019
I love this show. I was really disappointed it was cancelled. I felt hopeful it might be picked up by another station. Netflix would be a great choice.
In this day and age a well thought out smart and enjoyable tv series that can be viewed and enjoyed by the entire family is rare… the librarians ranks high in all of those areas! Having a show that teaches excites and causes the imaginations to run wild is a wonderful thing. It’s so sad that shows like these aren’t protected more by the powers that be. Please don’t take away yet another smart family oriented show! Give us something we can watch with our kids or alone and not have to worry about sex, nudity, extremely foul language and… Read more »
