Last year, although the demo ratings for the Life In Pieces TV show on CBS fell a little, the average total audience size increased. Now that it is back for a fourth season, can it bring up the demo ratings as well, or is it all downhill from here? Will Life In Pieces be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A CBS family comedy from creator Justin Adler, Life In Pieces stars Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King. The story follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. Each episode unfolds as four short stories which, when woven together, tell one story about this thing called life.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

For comparisons: The third season of Life in Pieces on CBS averaged a 1.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.437 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
