The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.
What do you think? Do you watch Live PD Police Patrol? Do you think Sony made the right call?
I really hope another network picks them up. I guess people don’t like a realistic ride along from their couch! The truth shouldn’t hurt and people don’t like seeing what police actually face on a routine call. Things can go sideways in a heart beat
This is really sad what our country has become. I watched this show every weekend. Sad that we no longer have equal rights and that a chosen few have determined how we should all live. Our country has been taken over and we no longer have the freedoms we once had. Our history is being destroyed as well. Sad since we should learn not to let it repeat itself. No one should have to apologize for who they are. I believe hate is taught at home and those are the ones who should answer for their bad behavior. This includes… Read more »
LIVE PD was a good show that actually showed how many police departments were policing differently and actually getting to know people in their communities. It was certainly not all bad.
Cancel culture!! Will this ever end? Dosent every show on T.V. offend someone or something? Why cant we all just be adults and choose to watch what we like as individuals. Let the ratings decide what needs to be cancelled.
Big mistake. I will not support Sony or watch A&E or any affiliated networks
They stopped the best show on tv right now !!!!!
It was one of my favorite weekend shows. I’m sad it was cancelled. It’s my hope as the department’s reorganize and retrain they could be on air again in the future. I learned a lot about law enforcement and the things they face every day. I also saw the reactions of those who were being stopped and the outcomes. Sometimes I was for the pd and other times I felt for the person being detained. In an ideal world emergencies would be truly accident related and not purposely imposed by others. We would have more applicants for the position if… Read more »
I am so disappointed in all of the police shows being cancelled. I guess the public is not supposed to see our police in action. They out their lives on the line for us every day. There was a lot of enlightening interaction on Live PD as well. There is nothing left on tv to watch. Reruns of old tv shows of 25 years ago, or older, are the only thing left to watch.
I am very upset that the police shows are not on anymore. I watched them all the time. Especially to see Sean (Sticks) Larsen. It’s a shame what is happening to the police in this country. Wonder who people will call when they need help????
I think cancelling all of the police shows is wrong. I hope A&E pays a huge price for this. I will not be watching A&E until they bring them back. I’m totally disgusted with this decision. There was nothing wrong with these shows, it showed the truth of what is really going on out there. BLUE LIVES MATTER, they protect us from the degenerates in society of all races.
About the only programs we looked forward to watching every week. There is simply nothing left for tv watching anymore. Now they pulled these shows because the criminals don’t want people to know what real no good a holes they are when caught. The worst part is the networks are buying into this crap. Seems like you have to watch every word you say now, can’t watch good programming because people don’t want to see the real world for how it is and all the crap in it. I guess it is like ” if you don’t see it, it… Read more »
Better cancel all medical shows, because there are a few bad doctors out there. I’m just kidding. There are a few bad people in any profession. But why cancel a great show? Live PD should be put back on in the fall. If people don’t want to wstch it, they can turn the channel. I live the realism of Live PD. Most law enforcement officers are great people. This movement and protesting has gone way over the line.
I do not agree with canceling these Live PD and all the other police shows. It showed how hard their job is but also showed that most police officers are good and do the right things. Taking these shows off is only making it worse because how can young people see how it is to be a cop and that they aren’t all bad. Right now kids are thinking that they are bad people and are scared of them. Don’t the people who watch these shows have rights too. If they don’t want to watch they don’t have to but… Read more »
These are turbulent times we live in. Race wars, Pandemics, Political unrest, the list goes on. While I will miss watching, I somewhat understand the cancellation of certain TV shows. Like it or not, this is now, the new normal.
It was a good show and showed the ture life of an officer
