The Live PD franchise is gone for good. According to NextTV, Sony Pictures Television has cancelled the A&E TV show’s syndicated spin-off series Live PD Police Patrol.
The weekly series focused on the daily work of police forces throughout the United States. “Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona, ” via the show’s website.
Sony Pictures Television cancelled Live PD Police Patrol after A&E ended Live PD in the wake of international protests against police brutality. Live PD Police Patrol is being pulled off the air this week.

I think they maid a BIG Mistake taking live pd off the air, the country loved watching that and was watching it every weekend. We want it BACK PLEASE.

I am so disappointed. It was the highlight of my week. Shame on them for seeing only 1 point of view like the media does. Those were great heroes in their communities and I feel showed the good side of law enforcement and showed they are human just like the rest of us.
If removing A&E were an option, I’d remove it. So instead I’m boycotting the channel. There’s literally nothing else to watch up there anyway. Their ratings have dropped tremendously! They are already seeing they’ve made a huge mistake, and they’re paying for it.
I’m so sick of all the paranoia! Live PD was the best show on tv! SOME OUT THERE GET A BACKBONE, standup for EVERYONE and bring it back. This is so rediculous!
We want ” LIVE PD ” back on the air. This is real life! All the other shows are not interesting anymore . I may as well cancel cable.I could listen to music on the radio.

If I had cable I’d have A&E removed and keep every channel that wouldn’t cancel shows like these due to pressure.I have a feeling they will panic once viewership numbers drop to new low numbers.
I think it is a huge mistake to cancel the show. Live PD showed us that most police officers are compassionate professionals who have a very difficult job. In making your decision you act as if there is something to hide in police work. You should have acted to support the fine officers who make up the vast majority of the people who protect and serve.
I disagree with you cancelling live PD. I have been watching this since it come on. There are so many more TV programs that are more offensive then this. I am 67 and there is not a whole lot on TV that is fit to watch. my goodness I hope you will reconsider. You can’t give in to these people. Sometimes I see where some policeman get carried away and get to ruff but they need to be address on each case. Most the time you have yahoos out there that they can’t control. To A&E : you are gutless without any backbone. You’ve just canceled the number one show on cable. I am boycotting A & E and will never watch it again.
Myself I think it’s a bounce of bull **** taking off the show of live P.D that’s the one best show I love to watch but no you had to go and take it off the air I hope you guys who took this off the air are happy because I’m not happy at all that show had a bounce of fans but we didn’t have that show anymore thank you your biggest fan of the show
I’m very angry that A&E cancelled Live PD and other similar shows. I feel that we were able to observe the “unknown” that first responders face every time they roll. It’s not always bad. Sometimes they are the good guys. It’s unfortunate that the current race issue was apparently the reason. This is getting way out of hand!
No because I watch the live P.d all the time now you go and take it off the air all because of this **** that’s going on it don’t make sense so thanks a lot for taking my favorite show off the air
This is ridiculous! This is a great show that not only showed the different types of calls the PD encountered daily, it showed missing children and wanted criminals. No wonder certain people would want it pulled. Goes against the agenda of showing all cops are bad!!!
This really is crazy. Taking very popular and educational television shows off the air. It is sad that people can not see the good that they show there are more good Police Officers out there than bad. I feel this is poor judgement on the part of A&E . I really have lost respect for this station.
