A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons. The cable channel issued a statement that said, “We would like to thank the phenomenal cast, crew and producers of Longmire, along with our partners at Warner Horizon, for their tireless work on three seasons of quality dramatic storytelling.”
Word is that Warner Horizon plans to shop the series to other outlets so a fourth season may still happen.
Longmire follows the life of a Wyoming county sheriff who’s returned to work following his wife’s demise. With the support of his family and co-workers, he solves cases and works to stay in office. The cast includes Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Adam Bartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

We were so glad Longmire came back this season. I had just heard A&E would not be giving us another season. I can count five couples that have watched it since the beginning and I see by your letters, we aren’t the only ones. Would not miss an episode, so PLEASE, someone pick this series up!
I seldom ever get involved in a series anymore since ER was cancelled. But Longmire is by far the best on TV. If you cancel Longmire I will cancel my cable completely. The only reason I pay for cable is to see Longmire every week. Whatever happened to leaving a show on the air from fall till summer, it was so nice to know on your favorite night you could relax and watch your all-time favorite shows!! Please don’t cancel the best show on the air!!!
Do not cancel Longmire. All my friends watch it and love it, including me. It’s one of the few good shows on tv these days. Further, why did you cancel The Glades. That was a great show also. Please keep Longmire.
This is one of the BEST programs out there. Good actors and actress’s great story line. If A&E doesn’t want it PLEASE have another station pick it up.
Oprah channel needs help. She would have a hit on her hands. Don’t let this end. Robert Taylor is perfect for this role and we can’t forget Lou Diamond Phillips. Great people that aren’t afraid to have a twisting plot to work on. I like it as much as NCIS.

Don’t cancel Longmire!!!!! Good gravy, no one, and I mean no one, needs more stupid reality shows like “Honey Boo Boo”! (..and yes, I know that show is not on A&E ) It’s a great show based on some great books.

Please don’t cancel this show. I look forward to this show each new season and didn’t think the past season’s were ever long enough.The show is Western enough but also modern enough to appeal to viewers that don’t like westerns
Longmire is one of the best shows I have watched in a long time. I think it is wrong wrong wrong to cancel it. There’s so much junk out there that stays on forever and yet a quality show like this gets booted. Its just ridiculous.

I love Longmire on TV and the books! I started watching during its third season and binge-watched the last 2 to catch up. So many storylines still hanging out there. MAYBE, Netflix will save the day, as they have done for so many great shows. The only good thing about it being cancelled was I never wanted him to hook up with Vick!!!!!!
DON’T cancle Longmire…it’s the only decient show on tv, and you already cancled The Glades. It seems like everytime a show that I like and follow gets cancled. I can’t stand these reality shows with the exception of Christly Knows Best that one is funny.
I can not believe that Longmire would be canceled when I don’t know anyone who does not watch this series and make sure they record it so they can watch it again or not to miss it. Greatest Show Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
