TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
it is a funny show who would have thought that lucifer would be so engaging dont listen to these people if they dont like it dont watch it would they rather see sex and murders and pedophiles??? i love it and i hope its renewed
I love Lucifer. Many ways this can go. Tom Ellis is awesome and a delight to watch. I hope this series is renewed for seasons to come.
This is a great show i hope its renewed there are so many characters they could pull in from the original source & universe for guest apperances, may be Trixie getting a couple of little friends in say Gaudim & Spera could be amusing or a passing visit from John Constantine
This show is great…witty writting….and does not go against Christian beliefs. Their narrow minded view of a book written by men hundred of years ago should not deprive the rest of us who can think….of some entertainment. No one is forcing us to watch. The cast and writting are tip top. I would love to see Lilith enter the show. Please listen to the fans….not the bible thumpers who cherry pick from the bible how to live their life. If the show was so bad….would we be on here?…..besides can any being be all good or all evil forever?
What is interesting is that the first Christians did not equate Lucifer with Satan. They were two distinct individuals. In the New Testament the light bearer is Christ.
I was watching the promo for “St Lucifer” and I doubt he did anything other than put Chloe to bed and let her sleep it off. But it wouldn’t surprise me if he let her think something happened and then decides to tell her the truth. From what he know of his sexual escapades making love to a drunk woman wouldn’t be his style. As for Maze I think she and Luci will make up and if Malcolm actually succeeds in shooting Luci it will likely be Dan who saves him, either directly or indirectly. While Dan and Luci appear… Read more »
I love the show. It’s fun brain candy. I hope the show returns next season
I love Lucifer! It is a unique show and Tom Ellis is perfect in the role! Although it is a drama, I find myself laughing all the time over Lucifer’s comments, expressions and actions. Please renew!
I hope this show is renewed. It always seems as though shows that the majority of people like are cancelled. Lucifer continues to get better as each episode airs.
I love the show! The writing is clever, the plot lines intriguing, and the acting marvelous. This intelligent mix of dark comedy, detective thriller, and morality fable deserves to be renewed!
Greatest show renew it for more seasons !!!!!!!!
Heavens! Please don’t cancel this wonderful series.
It was great to have a repeat of the first episode of Lucifer and compare him to the Lucifer we see in “Pops”. The writers have done an excellent job of developing the changes in Lucifer and the dynamics between him and Chloe. The show shows that guts and gore, or FX isn’t necessary to make an interesting show. The one-liners like “How does the 15th of never to ….happen” are priceless. This is a series that needs to be renewed.
I love Lucifer. It’s a terrific concept. Please, please keep the episodes coming for a second season.
Really enjoy the black humour in this show. Funny, clever, smart and irreverent. Hope it continues for a lot of seasons.
Great show! Addicted to it and watch also on stream.
After the 30th of April we’ll be going into Lucifer withdrawal. I certainly that there will be a DVD of this series because it’s long time between now and next January.
