TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
please don’t cancel Lucifer I love his show for the people that don’t like it they don’t have to watch it but I love it so renew it
I hate they are cancelling this show. It is so different from others and definitely entertaining. The casting of Lucifer is excellent. Considering some of the other new shows, this show is a standout!
It was renewed on Apr 7/16, so did Fox cancel Lucifer yesterday (Apr 14 or15)?
I love this show. It should continue please
Please don’t cancel this show. I can’t wait to see the next episode and the next season. Lucifer’s comments make me laugh throughout the show. It’s different from any other show on TV!
Lucifer has been renewed for another season
My prediction for the next episodes is that the humans, including Dan will ally themselves with Lucifer and against Maze and Amenadiel. If Maze actually stopped to think about her actions she would realise that perhaps Hell is not the place she wants herself and Lucifer to be. I don’t think in Hell she would have the same status that she had before as I doubt Lucifer would be that forgiving about her betrayal of him. If Malcolm’s description is correct what would be behind her door? Maybe it’s part of dad’s plan to have Lucifer feel human emotions and… Read more »
Please renew Lucifer. It is a cute, funny, show and true believers of God know this is only a show for entertainment purposes
The show has been renewed for a second season.
Wonderful…..I didn’t know it was renewed!!! Thanks for the heads-up!!
According to Tom Ellis the writers and producers are going to go with what has been established this season. Apparently Lucifer is going to continue along his path towards redemption but it is not going to happen quickly. What the writers and producers have done with Season 1 is pure genius and it would be stupid to mess up a winning formula. We are hooked on Lucifer because of the writing, dialogue, humour, plot, the chemistry among the actors, development of the characters. When you think about it we are rooting for Lucifer. This show doesn’t need the FX, the… Read more »
Just an observation on “St Lucifer”. It’s quite interesting that the immortals are the ones betraying Lucifer while the humans don’t. Lucifer’s reaction to Maze telling him that she had sex with his brother certainly suggests that Luci doesn’t have the same trust in her as he did in the beginning of “Wingman” and is most likely deeply hurt as well. Now that Maze knows that Lucifer is immortal at times she’ll probably conspire with Amenadiel to have Luci return to Hell. As for Amendadiel he sure is sliding down that slippery slope towards being the next ruler of the… Read more »
Love this show!! Love the writing. Love the actors.
I love this show and look forward to watching it every week. It is the first show I watch off my DVR every Monday when I get home from work at 1am. I really wish you would keep this show.
Love this show. it is funny, with a wicked sense of humor. Perfect casting. I hope it stays on the air!!!
This is the only network show that I will start watching before the dvr is done recording it.
Tuesday morning conversation around “water cooler” is about Lucifer. Great show —- kepp this on the air
Let’s remember that no one group should determine what is acceptable material for tv. If the subject matter is not to your liking then CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!!! I can decide for. Myself what I should or should not be watching or what is suitable for my children. TV execs should grow a pair and let the rating speak for themselves.
Lucifer is by far one of the greats for tv entertainment!! Look forward to watching it right after Gotham!
Lucifer is one of my favorite new shows. Its nice to have something completely different. Great show! Please renew. Can’t wait until the 2nd Season.
