TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I’m fond of the show. I keep going review the previous episode and the new episode. I’m actually impressed with the actors performances. I say, keep the show going.
I love the way the episodes are connected to each other because we getting a coherent story. The Lucifer we see in “Team Lucifer” is a very different Lucifer in the first episode.
Please keep this show we love it!
I love this show! The best show on, Please don’t cancel Lucifer!
We enjoy the show. Great concept. We would like to see it renewed.
Love this show! Never know what is going to happen next, sure hope it is renewed! Looking forward to the next series all ready
I hope that this show gets renewed. It’s one of my new favorites.
Very entertaining show and also presents some interesting ideas about good and evil and punishment and free will. It is not NEARLY as dark as Gotham which precedes it, and all the characters are very engaging. I certainly hope to see another season.
great show, I hope it is renewed
Just a few points about the best show currently on TV I still think Linda is the who was sent by Luci’s dad. Linda is the one who sees the side of Lucifer that none of the other characters see. The Lucifer we see with Linda is emotionally vulnerable, more like the “real” Lucifer, how he wants to be seen by others and who he really wants to be. With her Luci isn’t judged but receives understanding and in some ways compassion. Their relationship is similar to that of a young child and his parent with the child having complete… Read more »
Please don’t cancel it. I love the show. Tom Ellis is a great actor that I love seeing him play the role of Lucifer. Love It Love it.
This is one the best shows I’ve seen. It would be a mistake to cancel it.
Please don’t cancel this show!!!!!!!!!!
i love this show!!!!!it is great! Tom Ellis is excellent !!! He is a very good actor..Lauren German is good also. They play their roles Amenadiel might have a hard time getting Lucifer back to Hell! I really hope the show does not get cancelled . I have been telling everyone I know .[even people iI seen line at places I go ,too try it out] please do NOT CANCEL!!
Personally I hope the endgame is to have Lucifer get his wings back and be reunited with his dad and never has to return to Hell. Can you imagine what life would be like for the inhabitants of Hell if Amenadiel were in charge. He already hates patrolling the gates.
Even if the series had not be renewed I doubt that Lucifer would end up back in Hell based on the way the story has played out so far. I think dad would intervene somehow.
I LOVE THIS SHOW! Excellent series, which I would be ecstatic to see another season of. I am really glad to see Tom Ellis playing the role of Lucifer. He is a great actor, who I fell in love with during his last series RUSH, which unfortunately was only given 1 season. I was happy to see him get a role in another series so quickly. I am also a fan of Lauren German, I still miss her Chicago Fire character, I was sad to see her get killed off, so it is nice to see her in a new… Read more »
The first Christians did not equate Lucifer with Satan. For these Christians Lucifer and Satan were two completely different and distinct individuals. While you are right about free will we also have a character who realises that there are consequences for actions. One thing the show hammers home is that we and we alone are responsible for our actions.
Amenadiel sure has a lot of blood on his hands and I don’t think dad is going to be too pleased. Great start for him to begin his descent down that dark slippery slope. It was interesting that Amenadiel ignored Luci’s comment that Malcolm should not have been brought back from the dead. This shows that Luci is actually thinking about actions and consequences and this is something Amenadiel will have to learn. We can even feel Luci’s pain and anguish as being held responsible for all the evil actions humans do to each other. I wasn’t the least bit… Read more »
