TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Awesome show !!!!!!!
Love this show!!! Please bring iback my favorite show “Lucifer”
Love this show!!! Not what you think it will be. The first time I watched, I thought the male lead was just creepy. Then I realized he was absolutely perfect — really charming when he wanted to be, but clicked into scary when he needed to be. Love the part where he’s physically invulnerable most of the time, but not when he’s around certain others.
Don’t let the name of the show put you off watching. You’ll miss out on something good.
I think the idea was to have him develop and change very gradually. In one episode Luci compares himself to an onion that you have to peel away the layers one by one. What also adds to this is that when Luci is creepy and stalkerish Chloe doesn’t run away from him.
M friends and I love, love, love this show. I really hope it comes back in the fall. The show is funny and exciting. Tom Ellis is wonderfully sexy and funny.
I am not looking forward to the finale. that means no more if they don’t bring it back. the writing is well done. The best thing to look forward to on Mondays.
Please bring it back. Not too many really great shows on these days.
I just love this show and Lucifer especially! I have not missed one show and this must come back in the fall!! or I will be so upset with FOX. I am looking forward to Monday, April 25 for the finale for this season but looking forward for more shows in the fall. Just Love It.
Since the series was renewed at the beginning of April I doubt that there are enough scripts ready for the filming to begin in May or June. Personally I prefer a limited number of episodes because the writers are more focused on tighter writing. In addition a limited number of episodes keeps the audience interested and wanting more. Look at Game of Thrones: only a 10 episode series each season; it begins filming in July and finishes in December and airs at the end of April. Since Lucifer began filming in August and finished in January that gave the writers… Read more »
Since this is a story of redemption I wonder if it is dad’s plan to have Luci redeem himself through his actions and changes in thought and emotions when he is physically vulnerable and therefore mortal and to have these changes as permanent when he is in his immortal state. Other than his character traits perhaps the most difficult thing for Luci would be to accept mortality. What I thought was interesting in “Team Lucifer” now that he knows it is Chloe who makes him vulnerable was the way his face and eyes lit up when she asked him to… Read more »
KEEP it on, great show, wife and I look forward to watching it. Maybe even let him use more powers than he uses now. Refreshing series.
One of the most refreshingly entertaining shows I’ve seen in years. Keep it going!!
Keep the show. It is hilarious, and fun. I love it . The cast blends well and the story each episode is awesome.
I like the show. I’m enjoying watching Lucifer try to figure out why he doesn’t have power over the detective & also him trying to do “good.” I think it should be continued; I look forward to it every Monday.
Lucifer, is a wonderful series! Wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw the promos, but Tom Ellis, is fantastic in the role, and spot on in the comedic situations. This show is about redemption. If the devil himself is seeking it, there may be hope for the rest of us. A cancellation of the show would be a waste of a work of art, cast, crew, writers directors and such.
If the writers keep to what has been established Lucifer could be on TV for years. That being said the minute they start introducing escapees from Hell for the sake of it then the show is doomed. Look at “Sleepy Hollow” it seems as though the writers are “stretching” to find bad guys for Crane to confront. I agree with you about Lucifer being a story of seeking redemption. After “A Priest…Bar” Lucifer has managed to not let his grief and anger consume him and if he were a little self introspective he would realise that he is on the… Read more »
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS SHOW WATCHED EVERY WEEK -WILL FEEL SO UPSET IF IT GETS CANCELLED. SICK OF ALL THE REALITY SHOWS THAT ARE BEING SHOWN – LUCIFER WAS A BREATH OF FRESHNESS
It was renewed on April 7, 2016 for a second season.
I enjoy the character of Lucifer he’s better human than anybody else with the typical needs and with the typical characteristic of humanity I love this show I cannot see this show to be cancelled please do not.
This is one of the reasons why we like Lucifer. We can see the estranged son missing his father and longing to reconnect with him and wanting his dad to reconnect with Lucifer. Another reason he connects with Chloe is because she just accepts his Luciferness and likes working with him. Lucifer’s connection with Linda is interesting because she sees him in a different way than everyone else; she is the one who sees the vulnerable side of him and also sees him for who is his and doesn’t reject him. I guess what we see in Lucifer is someone… Read more »
This show is too good to be cancelled I cannot wait for Monday to come I would love to see years and years of continuance to my understanding the lord of the hell is more human than any other human existed on planet
Bestest show ever!!! I love it!!!
