TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
My husband and I watch this and hope it continues for more seasons
Wingman works on so many levels. We are still engaged in watching Lucifer’s development and far he still has to go. When Chloe tells Luci that a fresh set of eyes are needed Luci rushes off. If he weren’t so impulsive Chloe’s questions would have led Luci to figure out that Amaenadiel was behind the theft of he wings but then there wouldn’t have been that great interaction between Luci and his brother. How long will it take Luci to figure out that Maze gave out the information? As always there was the humor such as Amenadiel telling the auctioneer… Read more »
This show is great! My favorite new show of the year! I can’t wait for the next episode each week! Please don’t let the over zealous Christian followers make this a cancelled series. I am catholic and can see the difference between this show and my upbringing. Please keep it going!
Perhaps if they actually watched the show instead of going by the title they might change their minds. The series certainly has a lot to say about personal responsibility for our actions.
my husband and I both LOVE this show the double sometimes triple verbal jousting is hilarious we laugh thru the entire show
I love the one-liners such as, “I can arrange that if you like”
Also, Consider doing scheduled reliable replays on the weekends (of the previous Mondays show) like FOX has done in the past and does occasionally, and rebooting the entire season after the current run so new viewers can get caught up. I tell everyone to watch this show and they’d like to see it from the start.
Definitely renew, show is great, great characters and interplay and back stories for all. Good comedy fun and some biblical history thrown without being to creepy or dwelling on the gore like so many shows do now. I DVR it, so I hope Microsoft media center statistics are getting counted! enough of the reality shows already, need more shows like this!
renew renew renew
This show is great I wait and whatch this show every week I be leave in God but l like this show a lot please don’t canceled
“Lucifer” is a fantastic dark comedy and I love the way his character is being developed. Great casting, plotting, acting. Fox has a gold winner with this series. I just love the one liners like, “He’s not meteorologically inclined”. I hope this series is renewed and I haven’t missed an episode yet.
Love this show please don’t cancel. It would s nice to have a change to detective shows
Keep it going. For the love of God, it is the most entertaining show on tv. Please don’t let the silly religious zealots get it canceled.
This show is very entertaining and funny. I will be extremely unhappy if it doesn’t continue. The acting is great.
I really like the show, I really don’t think it should be canceled. It’s just a tv show, and people need to stop being so up tight!
