TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I really enjoy watching Lucifer with all the pitfalls the devil has with human detective for a partner. It’s a great show so please don’t send it to Hades!
Love this show.=! The “finale” this week was fabulous television! I can’t believe it’s over and my wife and I are very disappointed.
I’m with you Jon – I love this show – hope they reconsider!
Really enjoy this show. If some people have a problem with the show, they can choose not to watch. Also, you can put it on at a later time. Just don’t cancel it. There are too many people who really enjoy watching and who are clearly able to understand that this is a fiction program not a documentary. (I hear some people who watch Fox are concerned that it casts the devil as having some humanity.) Please bring it back for a 4th season.
I can’t believe that you would do this.
You really should think twice.
I enjoyed the show. It should not be cancelled and should return for a 4th season.
cancelling this show would be a big mistake. Finally chloe sees his true face and we never get to see her reaction, that sucks. I think the show could build a lot more stories now,not cancal it.
When is a finale not a finale? I’m pretty sure that question’s been answered. What a shoddy way to treat an audience.
WHY ! WHY! WHY! He finally gets his face back, his partner and love interest finally see it. A entire new approach to the series can now be scripted. Love the show and the story line. Cancelling this will be a mistake that the powers that be will regret.
if this was going to be the last season we needed at least a 2 hour finale to finish it out or another couple of episodes. As it was left, it looked like there could be another season
It is an amazing show. Fox always does the wrong thing, from cancelling last man standing to now this.
Best show on tv. Great humor and thought. Writing, acting, cast combo are amazing. It needs to continue. I never send comments. With all the nonsense on tv , how can you cancel such an excellent show?
I am so disappointed that you are considering cancelling this show. Not only is he funny, it is a truly entertaining show. We look forward to watching the show on Friday night, for we record the show since we work during the week. There are way too many “boring/not entertaining shows on TV, which have caused us to view Netflix. This is a huge mistake by Fox to cancel this show!!!
Love the show, why was season finale such a let down? Please bring it back!
This is by far the best show on the air! Why it is cancelled when there are so many horrible shows being renewed is beyond my understanding!
Clearly should be renewed for a fourth season.
