What’s This TV Show About?
A CBS political thriller, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Sara Ramirez, Željko Ivanek, Keith Carradine, Sebastian Arcelus, Patina Miller, Geoffrey Arend, Erich Bergen, Kathrine Herzer, Wallis Currie-Wood, and Evan Roe. The drama follows the shrewd, determined Elizabeth McCord (Leoni). As U.S. Secretary of State, she battles office politics, while driving diplomacy and negotiating global deals.
Elizabeth was once a CIA analyst, who exited that post for ethical reasons. She later returned to public life, at the request of President Conrad Dalton (Carradine). He values her apolitical leanings, knowledge of the Middle East, flair for languages, and unconventional thinking. Elizabeth is married to Henry (Daly), a former theology professor who is now an intelligence operative. Together, they’re bringing up three children, which can really test her diplomatic skills.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Madam Secretary averaged a 0.56 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.41 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 9% and 12%, respectively. Find out how Madam Secretary stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

YES! Please please please bring it back. I would think that with all CBS has going on (Les Moonves in particular) that this would be a no-brainer. If you want women to watch your network, leave on the one smart show with a great woman lead character! Do I think the writing could be better? Sometimes. But Tea Leoni and Tim Daly keep me tuning in every single week.
This show is awesome, why cancel a perfect hovernment/family show that actually promotes family relationship who’s parents work for the government. This show should never be cancelled
I would hate for them to cancel this, just when Madam is going to run for President. Those are so few shows that aren’t reality shows to watch. We need more like this, not less.

I find this series informative, educational, at times uncomfortable and yet heartwarming all at the same time.
If this series was spun into another format of how the election process really works in this country with all it’s warts yet maintain all the formerly mentioned traits, I think it would do every one and this country a favor.
Madam Secretary offers, an unique view of American politics since West Wing it should be continued.

Until this year watched faithfully- became too overly political and have stopped watching!
This show keeps me going with all the craziness that is going on in Washington right now. I like to fantasize through Madam Secretary that our government really is ethical, intelligent, patriotic and team oriented. Silly me.
