Madam Secretary is getting ready for its final bow. The finale for the drama is scheduled to air next month, and the finale will feature some very special guests. The episode is titled “Leaving the Station.” The cast of the series features Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Željko Ivanek, Patina Miller, Erich Bergen, Wallis Currie-Wood and Kevin Rahm.
CBS revealed those guests in a press release. Check that out below.
“The series finale of MADAM SECRETARY will feature a host of esteemed guest stars who will help celebrate the critically acclaimed series’ six-year run. The episode will air Sunday, Dec. 8 (10:30-11:30 PM, ET/10:00-11:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.
In the series finale, members of the World Cup Champion U.S. Women’s Soccer team, Crystal Dunn, Allie Long, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, visit the White House to help Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) kick off a new landmark political initiative. Cicely Tyson guest stars as Flo Avery, who was born the day women were granted the right to vote, and joins the soccer stars at the White House. Tyne Daly guest stars as Senator Amy Ross from Ohio, who opposes the initiative.
Also, Grammy Award winner and music icon Peter Frampton performs during a McCord family celebration. Previously, Frampton performed during the series’ fifth season.”
So far, season six of Madam Secretary has averaged 4.211 million viewers.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Madam Secretary? Are you sad to see the series end?
This is the best show on television. It is so right for our times. Smart funny and on target for what is happening in the world. We need another two seasons for Elizabeth as President.
Please keep this show going!
I am sad that this strong character has been reduced to such a weak president in this final hoorah. I had hoped for a much stronger final bow for one of my favorites. At this point, I would have settled for a two hour movie of her winning the election and being done with it. This whole charade of a season has been sad.
yes I am upset it’s being taken off
Loved the show, the family unity, the political issues were timely, sorry to see it end but was well worth the viewing time. Big fan of both Tea & Tim, wish the entire cast well as they continue their careers. Job well done.
Soooo mad they are taking Madam Secretary off! It was such a great show! It actually made me want to pay more attention to politics and what was going on in our world.
It’s so sad that this series is ending, especially since there are so few quality shows on TV.
I’ll miss the talented cast and writers who, at least for a short time, give us hope that our country is in good hands.
Yes I am very sad to see this show end. This is why I don’t like to invest my time in watching good shows because they are canceled to soon. Madam Secretary is a great show and I hate to see it end.
I am extremely sad that it is ending. It is the only show on the air that emphasizes honor, integrity, and true justice for all . So sad that it is being cut.
I am so very sad that it is ending. I think that it is one if the smartest and most relevant shows on network television. The cast is intelligent and incredibly talented. I will miss having Madame Secretary to look forward to as a source of sanity in this insane political environment.
Great show.
Conti ue as Madam President
My guess is that the end of ‘Madam Secretary’ will usher in the launch of ‘Madam President’… or at least I and a lot of other fans certainly hope so! (For CBS to NOT do that would miss out on a pretty obvious opportunity, don’tcha think?)
This is the best show I’ve ever watched. I always think, now this is how a president show act. Excellent writer and excellent cast. Thanks for all your hard work. I would like the show to continue because it gives us hope that things will change for the better. Thank you everyone for all your hard work.
Don’t cancel. Love the show and the actors
This is one of my must-see shows every week. I recorded just in case I’m not here. I suppose because it’s a great show they have to cancel it. And it’s a crying shame. I can think of a host of other shows that could be canceled instead of Madam Secretary. Sometimes you need to go with quality and not quantity.
My wife and I, both PhD’s who intently follow today’s political rivalry, have so much enjoyed each episode very much; the writing in particular, as well as how it “resembles” much of what we see in the news today ON THE POSITIVE SPECTRUM.
The characters portray traits missing today; honestly, integrity, respect, and doing what is right.
We will be greatly saddened to see the show’s end. It has been a mainstay of our TV watching on Sunday evenings. We have never missed an episode!
I hope the finale is pleasurable.
