CBS apparently has no more plans for Matt LeBlanc. The network just announced they’ve cancelled the Man with a Plan TV show so there won’t be a fifth season.
The Man with a Plan sitcom stars LeBlanc as an old-school contractor named Adam who is trying to adapt to the demands of modern family life. Now Adam and his wife, Andi (Liza Snyder), are running a house-flipping business with Adam’s quirky brother Don (Kevin Nealon) and unlikely friend Lowell (Matt Cook), with a surplus of input from Adam’s other family and friends.
Airing on Thursday nights, season four of Man with a Plan is averaging a 0.73 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.23 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s a 16% decrease in the demo ratings and a 17% increase in general viewership. That makes Man with a Plan one of CBS‘ top-rated comedy series for the 2019-20 season.
With decent ratings, it’s unclear why Man with a Plan was cancelled. However, it’s believed that the series is an expensive one to produce so, the cost may have played a major factor in the decision.
What do you think? Do you watch Man with a Plan? Would you have watched season five of this CBS comedy series?
A stunningly bad decision considering how good and popular it is.
I cannot see how production costs are so high considering that the vast majority of it is filmed indoors and on sets where there is no lavish production.
Great show. All the good shows get canceled. Get rid of those stupid reality shows.
Of course, we finally get a show that is cute, shares family values, and has no cursing. I think the cast did a great job, especially Matt LeBlanc and Liza Snyder. Keep it going.
Please reconsider canceling this show. It is good clean, family comedy! Very funny!
I really enjoyed Man With a Plan. I hope another channel picks it up. Carol’s Second Act had a lot of promise but need new writers and fewer actors.
We enjoy Man With A Plan. There’s not many good comedies in TV anymore. I hope it doesn’t get canceled.
I would love to watch season 5 it’s not fair to cancel it …they should really think about starting it
I wrote that cbs is wrong to cancel the only good show they have… now where the heck is my comment? Or are you only looking for the opinions of the 19 -49 yr olds? They don’t have the money to spend on the sponsors products…. we older people do & we want MAN WITH A PLAN back on the schedule!
OMG! What is wrong with you, CBS???????? This show was laugh out loud funny with a great cast & hilarious stories! Whoever decided this was a great idea to cancel this is nuts & should be fired. I’m so sick of this network canceling great show & keeping filthy & unfunny crap. You need to reconsider YOUR PLAN!
Loved this show, sorry to see it go.
terrible move by cbs, this is a good show, and deserves to stay on tv, hopefully the show runners shop it around to other networks , its is better than ANY “reality” garbage on tv, and FAR better than the crap load that is “broke”…..this show deserves better. PLEASE SHOP IT AROUND TO OTHER NETWORKS, LIKE FOX, teamed with last man standing it could go on a few more seasons.
I actually enjoy Man With A Plan. I’m glad Carol’s Second Act is being canceled, didn’t like that much
Man with a Plan is an entertaining half-hour no matter what time slot CBS decided to put it in. So why would anyone make the decision to cancel it? The brains in Hollywood need a wake call!
Theres so few really good shows left now .This is a keeper, big mistake. What will you replace it with another reality show..
I truly enjoyed this show. Darn shame it was cancelled.
